Which one? There are many to choose from, some of them worse than others.

Also, you don't get Wanna or Mercy Points from summoned critters. You may do with the hedgehogs as you wish.

Re: Chain of Memories and yes, it's terrible. I bought the collection a while back then grabbed two, now I'm playing them "in order."

Ah. 3D is my favorite, though it fails at the last minute to have a reasonable plot. It's proper and makes sense all up until the last world, at which point it's basically Inception with Disney Characters. It still has the best gameplay, though. I've run it in 5:30:xx ish, but since 3ds capture cards are expensive, you don't get to see my fine speedruns. I didn't play the remake of CoM, but it looks like the original was better. It's meant to be 2d, and it shows.

358/2 is excessively buttonmashy, don't play it. They were basically trying to figure out how to gameplay on a handheld, and didn't get it right until Birth by Sleep. The plot is essentially self contained anyway. It merely elaborates that yes, the people you thought were ******bags were, in fact, ******bags, and why the people who aren't weren't. The overall plot of the series is not heavily impacted in any way that isn't summed up in the tutorial of KH2.

But yeah. It's a nice series, where internet people helpfully inform you that the writer is off his meds, but that's okay because you're there for the gameplay and the nice music anyway. The plot is tangible in the way that Metal Gear Solid 2 has a tangible plot: it is in fact self-contained and consistent, but you could totally write a masters thesis on the convolutedness of it all (someone has for MGS2, btw. It's pretty impressive).

 

So, we have this main character named Sora. He's functionally retarded(INT and WIS being his dump stats), but has a Charisma and Strength of 18, so the main cast keeps him around. He's like the team pet. At the very least, he takes being dumb in stride, and doesn't let it get him down.

There are things called Nobodies. When a person gets soul stolen and such, their body and mind linger around and do things anyway, and people with high Charisma stats are essentially sociopath zombies in that sense. Note that they are, in fact, the body wandering around, despite being called Nobodies. Sora has a nobody named Roxas, but Sora was regenerated by a strange plot device and now both of them are running around. Except Roxas has a heart, because Sora was serving as a soul jar for some other guy named Ventus and that got passed along, so Roxas is basically Ventus except for the fact that Ventus already had soul damage beforehand, and this is the first time you get to see him entirely intact in the series, despite technically being a zombie named after some other guy entirely.

This is a major plot point, and will be on the exam. Also, if your brain hurts, that's good. That means you still have a brain.
