It's been great so far. Just good light-hearted fun. Are you watching? If so, how have you been finding it?

I'm not. I don't have cable and extremely limited internet access. I have to read about new series from friends and go download them when I'm able. However, I glimpsed an ad for Dandy on CN the other day and it struck me as very Lupin. If it's worth the download I'll pick up the first couple of eps tonight!

School! Classes started, complete with stupid school nonsense. Tomorrow I go to my high school stats teacher to get her to affidavit(it's a verb now) that yes, the stuff she taught me is the same as the stats class they want me to take at university.

That dawning moment when everything on the syllabus looks eerily familiar... and that thing the professor is talking about you remember perfectly, but everyone else is staring at like it's a whole new world... yeah.

Seven years after getting my bachelor's degree, I applied for grad school in fall. Remind me why again.

Also, professors get all the money, as long as their field is in demand. My brother works for Amazon, and they pay him severely. His wife is getting a PH.D in accounting, and she will easily make double what he does just by professoring.

We joke about him becoming the stay at home dad, but this is good, as it lets him do more hobby-like work, like programming for our video game. He will be my little code hamster, who sits in the box and runs on the wheel for pellets.

Don't know about the money part. I make six figures as a senior geologist in the mining industry and I know I'll take a pay cut by becoming a professor. Unfortunately, I have to live in the middle of nowhere and deal with uneducated bumpkins/rednecks/white trash everyday for this job. After seven years, I just can't take it anymore. I want the city life, a chance to find a wife, and a place where I can raise children. Middle-Of-Nowhere, NV is NOT the place to do that.
