When I started out here I was totaling my d20 rolls and keeping an average. After two months of play my average d20 roll was something like 5.4

Frag...2 questions:
1: Would I need to make a concentration check to cast Elemental Ray, as it's a supernatural ability? 2: If so, what would be the DC I would roll against?

Quote:
1: Elemental Ray is a spell-like ability, not a supernatural ability, so it provokes AoO unless you attempt a concentration check to cast defensively. 2: Elemental Ray’s effective spell level, for determining the concentration DC, is equal to the highest-level class spell your character can cast. I see...But, were I to make a 5-foot step backward and out of AoO range, would I still need to make a concentrate check, since I took damage last round?

You only have to make a concentration check if you take damage in the current round, whether by AoO or a continuous damage effect, like Acid Arrow.

![]() I beseech thee! For you are consumers to whom I can apportion: Market Research I am in the making of a game thing. The current title of note is dun dun dunEx Terrus. The title was Dreamscape, but there is a point-and-click iOS adventure game thing with that name, and we'd like to keep all toes attached. Just know that the working title is FUTURE BUNNY with SWORD, because that is three excellent reasons why you should by the game. ![]() ![]() Still, I seek knowledge from you lot, and since you are wonderful players, you can totally do the thing and feel pleased about your civic responsibility or something. Answer thusly, and earn a cookie! 1) Have you ever played a metroidvania game? Sidescrolley exploration type rpg. Wander around the world, collect powerups that let you do new things, become awesome, do the thing. Castlevania and Metroid were the two prominent trendsetters, hence the genre name. If you have not, put your fingers in your ears and cry about how your video game knowledge is sorely lacking. 2) Do you have a favorite game in said genre? If so, why? Inquiring minds want to know. What makes the thing good to you? 3) What do you generally like about the genre? Things that draw you to play the games. 4) What do you dislike in general or specific about games in the genre? Pitfalls, poor design choices, or things that just make you feel icky. 5) Would you be willing to pre-order the game for 20 dollars via kickstarter to actually fund the making of said game? Not judging, bacon and tacos are more important than video games it is true. 6) If yes to the above, would you be willing to pay more in exchange for swag, awesome donator stuff, and a feeling of pride and joy? Because that would be super rad. 7) Regardless of the above answers, would you be willing to tell all your friends about the hip new thing that they should totally support? Awareness! Bunnies everywhere. If you fill out the survey, you may have a cookie guilt free, and know that you have done a good thing while you do it. Twice the happy feelings inside!

Where?!
If we had to argue semantics, it's not really a 'furry' videogame. Dust: An Elysian Tale is a furry videogame. The animalism is a plot point, as the racist lion guy tries to kill all the lizards because of jerk, and the fox guy beats up everyone until they acquiesce. Here, there are magical mutants, and you can either make them tentacley monsters, strange degenerate humans, or adorable. A didn't fit the tone, B is boring, and so I went with the fluffy. You'll note in the concept art the presence of more properly human mutants, and that's just from what's posted. Anyway, that's my soapbox. You can go back to looking at the cute bunny rabbits. Also, combat should be ending soon, which will let our unconscious players back into the fold. You could play poker while we're waiting on Chu and Vanilla to either win it big, or lose horribly.

I've already made my bet. Answers:
1) Have you ever played a metroidvania game? The only one I ever played was the original Metroid, and that was a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away. 2) Do you have a favorite game in said genre? If so, why? No. 3) What do you generally like about the genre? Nothing. 4) What do you dislike in general or specific about games in the genre? I found the difficulty level of Metroid frustratingly terrible. It was either way too easy, or way too difficult simply because of level design. 5) Would you be willing to pre-order the game for 20 dollars via kickstarter to actually fund the making of said game? Going back to grad school in fall; I have $0 dollars to spare. I haven't spent money on video games in nearly a year. 6) If yes to the above, would you be willing to pay more in exchange for swag, awesome donator stuff, and a feeling of pride and joy? 7) Regardless of the above answers, would you be willing to tell all your friends about the hip new thing that they should totally support? Sure. Last edited by 2nd Chance; Feb 1st, 2014 at 10:51 AM. |

Let's rock this rock's world!
Also, Fragmaster, what does the "Inspire Courage +1" do? Do we get an actual +1 as a bonus somewhere? I like +1 bonuses. ![]() Last edited by 2nd Chance; Feb 4th, 2014 at 10:32 PM. |

Gargable. Stone thingy. Zappy not very zappyful. Find something else. Try... NOT substituting your elements. That sort of thing.
In other news, I will be working on the Town Thread while you fight the boss, because goodness it's looking to be massive. Like, Post of the Month s**t right there. If I tried to type it all at once, I would cry, and you do not want that, because then my tears would become your tears. Such is the plight of the Players of the DM. Also, tell me if you can see the storage thread, because you shouldn't. It's not for you. Not yet.
