Tick Tukk catches his breath, pissed that his plan didn't work. "Well I couldn't sneak out. Maybe you should try to break the bars with your big weapons. The bars affect the head, but not the body."

"The tattoos are keeping us in? ****ing magic, never does anybody any good. Let's see....."
He looks at the tatto on his wrist, then at the giant sword being carried by the sulking prisoner, then back at his wrist. He flexes his hand a few times then shakes his head. "We'll call that plan B." He straitens, his expression bright again. "But Tick Tukk has a point. They did leave us with our weapons. While they obviously consider their cell srong enough to not bother to deprive us of our arms, they might have overestimated this prison's holding power." He faces Marcus. "You've got some hefty gear there. How about giving us a few swings?" |

A laugh escapes his lips when the goblin falls over from his trial. Slipping through the bars had been a good plan but how did Marcus know that the goblin would let them all out once on the other side? It would be much easier to escape alone for someone so small than to be burdened by larger companions who could not hide as effectively.
Marcus sighs at the idea of taking a swing at the bars. The noise alone would attract every guard in the place. "How about instead of wasting effort now, we wait for the white haired man that the goblin spoke of. If he is coming this way, getting out of the cell won't do us much good because we will almost certainly be seen." The big man flexes his hand and peeks at the fresh ink staining his wrist. "I have a feeling that whoever is coming to pay us a visit will have some interesting words to share." |

Well this whole thing is... rather boring. I understand the want to make oneself look tough but the long walk did nothing to add to the gravity of the situation. As the man finishes speaking Tharik looks upon the assembled group, "I swear to whatever you wish me to swear to I suppose."

"Well, that was oddly worded." Guy thought to himself. He glanced down at the tattoo. "I wonder if the oath will be enforced by magic, or if they'll take us on our honor. Judging by that cell, I don't think I'll be so lucky as to get the former. Crap, I wish I knew more about magic. He left himself wide open with that phrasing. Do magic oaths work by the letter of the law, or the spirit?"He turned to look at the minotaurs, then smiled and waved at them.
"Well it's a gamble I guess. And if worse comes to worse, there's always plan B." he swallows and turns to the boy. "Well kid, you have us by the short hairs." he replies jovially. His right hand covers his heart, his left hand raises, and he closes his eyes and intones gravely. "I, Guy Southside, do solemly swear my unfaltering secrecy and allegiance."He opens one eye and peers and the White Haired Boy, grinning. "Like so?" |

Tick Tukk hated being under anyone's command, but he also liked living. So he looks at the lady in red and says, ”I, Tick Tukk... as he says his name he launches a color spray straight up from his left hand. “Swear my allegiance and loyalty." And pose.

Marcus glares at the 'bartender' after the group is led from the cell and brought to the room. He ignores the white haired boy completely, his rage a white hot poker with one target. When the white haired boy asks for allegiance and the others give it so readily the large man snorts disgustedly. "Tell me, Garen, was this necessary? After the knowledge I shared with you, did you think that you needed to go through all this to put me to work? You know I need someone as a benefactor. You know why I came to this place. Had you but asked for me to work for you and offered to help me, I would have agreed. Maybe not right away but I would have agreed and you would have had a new ally instead of a new lackey. As it stands, I will pledge my allegiance and keep to your stipulation of secrecy but you will find that I perform only to standard. You will get nothing extra from me, swine. There will be no above and beyond the call of duty from my sword arm." His disgust grows and extends to himself when he realizes that he has given his allegiance just as easily as the others but he continues, "This will not be forgotten. I will do as I must for now but one day you will pay for forcing me into this." He knows how hollowly his sentiments reverberate throughout the room but Marcus does not care. He has meant everything he's said and will do his best to make it truth. Especially the part where the bartender pays. Especially that.

Guy examines his mark once more, a slight frown on his face. It disappears when he looks up, replaced by a wide grin.
"Just one." He makes a fist and punches palm of his other hand. "What's our first job?" |

"I have many but few you are likely to have answer to. Let us be on our task so I can prove myself worthy of your esteemed king. Ohh and one more thing, if you all ever put me in a cage again I will not hesitate to tear your collective throats out."

Picking his nose Tick Tukk asks, “Will our gracious king supply us with gear and supplies?" He offers a booger to everyone and then eats it if everyone refuses.

"So how exactly do you plan on going about this with only being allowed to kill one of the fools?"
