Ok had a few more thoughts on background so adjusted again. Hmmm lets just say I will be adjusting the application until players are selected and maybe even past that.

I've got to say Majestic Pyre I really like your app. Did you make all of that up for this campaign or is the general idea taken from something?

I feel like you could make an entire campaign off that idea or at least a module or two.

Thanks Drake! Actually I'll admit that it wasn't made especially for this campaign. I designed the Silver Rings for a different application, a year and a half ago. I've been adding to it ever since. I really would love to GM a campaign with them as a driving force.

Drove home and the internet was down. Ate came back still down. Thank you Verizon for being more reliable than my ISP.

Anyway, yeah I think its a really good idea. It's the best RP reason I've read to be a good undead character. My other game has a ghoul paladin and he had a pretty lame explanation.

Edit: Damn, that's a nice roll. Guess those bad stat rolls paid off.

HOLY BALLS! That's a lot of bad luck! This thread BLEW UP while I was gone. I was gone a LOT longer than anticipated. My parents turned an afternoon with my daughter and me into an all-day affair. I'll review whatever has happened, but between all of my threads blowing up at once, it might take me a while to catch up.

Feat Ruling

Hey Guys, I'm selecting feats, and I need some help. Z, when you get the chance could I get some GM wisdom?

Basically, I'm looking to knock people out where I can. (Because that's what monk rogues do.) And so there are three feats that sort of help with this, but I don't understand how they would all work out together. The feats are Knockout Artist, Sap Adept, and Sap Master.

Assuming I'm using my fists as a blugeoning weapon, and I sneak up on someone, and I hit them for nonlethal, what is the damage roll?

My sneak attack is 4d6. My initial instinct is 8d6 + 24. 8d6 (for Sap Master), +16 (for Sap Adept, rolling 8 sneak attack die) + 8 (for knockout Artist, rolling 8 sneak attack die.)

But in your example, you are only rolling 4 Sneak Attack damage dice, but doing it twice. I see 8d6+12+StrMod.
