The lizard guy has a protective complex for small people, even annoying ones, like the lead in 'The Blind Side' with that annoying little kid.
Should Esiak survive, he will speak to the other guy who slaps the gnome around. I do agree with the others, that this gnome wouldn't last long during Open Mic night at the Chuckle Hut.

Well, Crap!
So much for reptilian honor! That is one tough, tough, tough, TOUGH hobgoblin! Same thing used to happen to Esiak's player on the old schoolground. And apologies to the party members regarding Esiak's offensive talk. With all this going on, I am certain you didn't plan on having to step around a large passed-out lizard (represented in Roll20.Net by a lizard with a big fat red X on him). However, he would have attempted to bite Malgrim on the cranium, had he remained conscious and gotten ANY inkling of what hit him. Which he didn't! Alack and alas! Well, he is a crimeboss after all
And walking around with 11 damage without even flinching. But hey, if Esiak hadn't still had some the nonleathal damage from the fog, he would still be standing - with glorious 2 hp.
