The Halfway Inn. And the Flag and Thistle ("fat" for short).

Mine vary between sadly unoriginal and oddly amusing.
The Happy Drunkard The Sad Drunkard (original, eh?) The Frisky Fox Festering Lester's (an undead owner) The Crazy Old Bandicoot Blue Balls Brewery (named after a drink) The Bandiroo (similar to the jack rabbit, a bandiroo is a cross between a bandicoot and a kangaroo. Confusing PCs is fun) The Rusted Anvil A Small Victory Ale of the Albatross (one of the specialty drinks contained albatross) Last Star Inn Those are all I can remember right now. The Ox and Arrow Inn
a Gnome run world wide franchise, has the same stereotypical blundering barkeep and several dunder headed huards (all bald with O + A tattooed on their heads) reminds me of starbucks...

I had a tavern once in a large city that was a front for a local assasin syndicate called The Last Call. Ended up being a great recurring location.
Not a place to start a brawl in, though.

My latest tavern is the Charred Gander - named after an incident with the first cook.
A group-generated name that was memorable is the Salty Swine - in a fishing town, no less. A new player in one of my groups got to name the inn where his paladin was staying, and he chose the Feather Bed - in a land where proctitution was legal... That one still comes up, a year or more later. It seems the best tavern names usually have double meanings.

My first DM called all of his bars the "Plot Device Tavern" In deference to my first game I name all of my pubs the "Plot Device Bar and Grill" and "P&D Diner"
One time I had a DEMHOP... Deus ex machina house of pancakes Although I HAVE considered "Ensign Ricky's" which is of course a shout out to all my disposable NPC's who are in fact shout outs to the disposable red shirts of Star Trek
