Even though I'm sure everybody has figured it out, I'll post this up for more proper closure.
The new semester rolled around and promptly started punting me around with the amount of recitations/class/etc that I have. This put a limit on my free time. This limited free time ended up not going towards this game, but rather towards other things. In fact, it went to not a single play by post game, to the point that the solution of vanishing from the site seemed like a good idea at the time. In any case, I do not have the time nor the energy to really devote towards running this game. Rather than leave false hope, I'm going to say it is permanently dead... if anybody is even still watching. I blame myself for this - my first leave of absence lost us some players immediately, and then it struggled from there.
