![]() To the Most Serene Bassat de’Cresend the Third, Reigning Patriarch of St. Vyrs It is with this treatise that I have been entrusted to collect, research, and properly detail the life and times of this our City’s namesake, the Beatific Saint Vyrs d’Acquarone. Though some knowledge presented here within may appear familiar to those versed in literature and historic lore, let it be understood- that which is common hides that which is unknown. There are many gaps in the details of our Patron’s life and the times which he lived, owing to the general ignorance of those darker times and the destruction present after the fall of the Misindi Empire. Through painstaking efforts by countless preservers of knowledge throughout the intervening centuries and through the many long months of efforts by The Lords’ University and myself, we find that this treatise is the most complete image we have of a time once darkened by the fogs of fable and now lay exposed to the piercing light of truth. It is with our most reverent wishes that we present a most accurate and truthful account of the man whom Saint Vyrs was and the world in which he lived. Myles Daal Brother of the Joserian Order & Gasparo Toreegrossa 47th Rector of The Lords’ University |
