Threehorn? For shear awesomeness. go for a Tyrannosaurus...or better yet, a Xen'drik, 2 headed Tyrannosaurus Rex

I had a half-orc Eldeen ranger who used to ride a threehorn, s*** was so cash. But in terms of the Carver, I think the Medium deinonychus is the Pathfinder version compared to the Large version in MM for 3.5. I think the disparity might be Pathfinder trying to update stats to reflect more recent archaeological developments? But yeah, I think waiving the Rich Parents for Dinosaur Master seems the best choice, and then saving the mount question for later.

I always wanted to make a tyrannosaurus-riding halfling outrider.

I think the change was actually from 3.0 to 3.5. Carvers in Eberron have always been medium sized.
So from the looks of everyone's interest lists, I'm thinking that this story is mostly going focus on the political turmoil that the nations have been left in following the Last War, especially with the question of what to do with the Mournlands and the Warforged. Does that sound good all?

Thats nice, I know i've not filled that bit out yet but Juniper would definatly be interested in finding out what happened in Cyre to cause the day of mourning.

Yep, I can fit that into his goals.

Right-o, big update to Juniper's background info in the character sheet forum. I had fun writing some of them. Should make some progress on her sheet in a couple of days time when I eventually get back to my own computer.
On a side note I've never really been a fan on tablet-style computers before but, text editing issues aside for a moment, writing on this one while at the parents house has been a bit of a pleasure. |

I've checked this board on my new Fire (after getting a new browser), but writing on it is a little annoying.

Well I definitely have a print version of the 3.5 Monster Manual sitting on my lap that says Large, and the Eberron Campaign Setting seems to imply it is Large by saying a carver is "about the size of a heavy horse" on page 123. In any case, Darius' sheet is done, and I am ready to play.
And Darius is definitely interested in investigating the Mournlands, especially given his connections with the border communities on the northeastern side of the Mournland. He also wouldn't object to mucking up some Valenar scum, should the occasion arise. Last edited by GrimDarkOtter; Dec 29th, 2011 at 11:41 AM. |

Sorry I'm taking so long with the sheet - I can start whenever, I'll just avoid anything that requires a roll for a bit ^.^

The thing with the 3.5e deinonychus is that it was horribly under-CR'd. Seriously, go compare the PF stats with the 3.5e stats--and look at the Monster Statistics by CR table that is directly taken from the average stats for all monsters at that CR. It is most definitely not a CR 3 monster. The reason why your book (and the Eberron book by association) says Large is that it was errata'd down to Medium. However, the silly folk who wrote the 3.5e errata just changed the size... they didn't bother adjusting the statistics to go with it. Pathfinder actually adjusts that and makes it a proper CR 3 challenge.
But yeah--basically this means one of two things. - Clawfoot = Deinonychus, Carver = Megaraptor, nix Great Carvers altogether (or make up some uberaptor... or make them like, allosaurus or something), velociraptors get...some random name. - Simply accept that only the great carvers can be ridden as mounts by medium sized people, and that clawfoots aren't good mounts for halflings anymore. I don't really like this option to be honest... EDIT: Okay, I checked the ECS and apparently allosaurus already have a silly Eberron specific name. So I vote for just getting rid of great carvers and redubbing velociraptors (or maybe just saying they're juvenile clawfeet). Fastieth are also way too big for what real-life dino they represent, unless you assume they're considered Medium because of their length, but since we don't have any Pathfinder-official stats for Leaellynasaura, I'm not too bothered at this point

Oh, on the Mournland thing, Breaker is definitely interested, though he is more so interested in the Lord of Blades. Investigating the day of Mourning is okay to, but destruction seems somewhat normal for someone who spent most of his life killing things in war.

Okay, posted a sheet. Still need feats, spells, and gear, but I got the big stuff out of the way.
