Is there an idea on intended party size?

The OP of the application thread says 3-4, with a reserved right to include more. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Looks like 5 of us. Are we expected to team up? My character might need a little convincing to work with a group. (Not to the point where it becomes annoying for everyone else though.)

How hard are you going to be when it comes to tracking rations, ammunition, and other consumables?

Food and standard ammunition I'm not so worried about while you are within the Valley since things are generally available (scrap metal and wood, game, that sort of thing). The act of looking for such things will generally be included in travel times while you make your way through the valley.
And yes, I know I got five people. And yes, I understand your character is going to require some motivation Mr.Bailey. Hopefully when I get the introduction up either today or tomorrow we can start on all the player motivations. Last edited by robotbear; Apr 15th, 2013 at 11:45 AM. |

Hi, posting in here to keep mechanics thread clearer:
1) What XP progression are we running? 2) What HP system are we using? 3) Are we using the Hero Point system at all?

Right! Important answer times.
1) We are not running an XP progression (wait what?!). This is because I believe that it encourages the slaughtering of everything. There will still be level progression as well as additional bonuses (like bonus feats) but since XP is an arbitrary measure I figured I'd handle it. 2) HP is as so: First level you get maximum. Ever level after that you gain half your HD +1. So if your HD is 8, you get 5 HP at level 2+. HD 10 gets 6. (I think those are the only two HD that apply here). 3) Hero Points! Yes. You will start with 1. For rules about hero points, look here. 4) Everyone gains 1 additional skill point per level that must be applied to a Knowledge skill (Heal is included). Look under the mechanics thread to see how some of these skills have changed. |

Thanks! That all makes sense.
(As you may have guessed I'm working on char right now) Further questions: 5)Are we playing with traits and who decides on them? 6)What other languages are there in the world and who uses them? (I'm assuming stuff like Elven, Sylvan, Auran etc. have all been reflavoured or removed?) 7) Do we need craft skills to make ammunition?

5) Yes you have access to two non-campaign specific traits.
6) I'll go ahead and update the skill page in the mechanics page to ammend the Linguistics skill. It will work a little differently. To start (regardless of Intelligence) you start with and only with "Angeles" as a language. There currently are none other that you could know. 7) I'm going to say yes. |

Hey! Glad to be in the game!
I've got a slight issue RE: your reworking of Heal and Knowledge: Religion. In typical Pathfinder, Heal and Knowledge Nature both cover all aspects of what a character knows about biology, and both of those are class skills for an Alchemist. However, Knowledge: Religion is not (nor should it be, having nothing to do with either magic or science). I was working up my character as quite knowledgeable in biology (just as much if not more focused on that than technology) based on the traditional application of skills, but that won't be possible if Knowledge Religion isn't a class skill and the other two skills won't cover it. Otherwise I love the reflavor and all the house rules! Would it be possible to find some workaround for this? |

Ok, Strom is finished as far as I'm concerned. The huge amount of money left over is because I can't think of what else to grab that won't hit me with encumberance :P

@Thamewolf: Considering you're a doctor I'd say you'd have both Biology and Heal. If that feel weird you can take a talent that gives you both, and a +1 bonus to one of them (which is pretty par for talents).
The thing about standard pathfinder is that while Heal may be "biology," its rudimentary at best. That's not taken away from Heal (which I see more as first aid and applicable anatomy), but you have to consider all the biological/medical breakthroughs that happened between the Renascence and the Modern day. |

Oh right! Hey. Make sure you put a link to your character sheets in the PC information section please. Will make it easier to reference in the future.

Feels like I'm done. Please don't hesitate to point out any mistakes I may have made.
