Edit: That woks out to an even maximum duration of two minutes on the smoke bombs. Last edited by killswitch423; Dec 16th, 2013 at 12:21 PM. |

Oh man its going to be a big dilemma for Dekor if he has to save Maz's life. His thought process would be something like, "if I were in his place, would he save me?" If he has to ask himself that question now, the answer would probably be, "no, he wouldn't"

Yeah, I'm not sure even Rego would go out of his way to help Mazgurg. But for what it's worth, he wouldn't go out of his way to help any of ya'll either. I mean, he's not the kind to let you die if it would so if he happened to be standing next to someone who was about to decapitate your character and had a free shot he would kill the enemyinconvenience him, but he wont be running into the line of spells and arrows to defend your characters from harm either.

@davide15, you're right in that it'd be best for Alethea to signal as the bombs start getting lit rather than afterwards. @killswitch423: I know that was just an inner-monologue for Maz that I'm jumping off of (referring to davide15's last post mentioning it'd be better to signal before lighting the bombs), so if you want me to change what Alethea says there and keep with a post-bomb lighting signal plan, then I'll be happy to change my game post. Hope that makes sense.

Do remember, that Mazgurg basically just verbally abused the piss out of Alethea in an attempt to correct her misconception of the signal plan, it's not crazy that she would come up with that solution on her own (she is after all smarter than Mazgurg). I'm going with the old Intelligence=Academic knowledge, Wisdom=Cunning/Street Smarts and Charisma=Social Graces, etc. Style of play, that's how I am internally justifying Mazgurg's planning ability anyway.
A smarter hero might come up with a better more complicated plan, but a wise hero sees the situation and comes up with a simple effective solution immediately. Anyway, some insight into my thought process on Mazgurg's mental stat based play. Also the low cha allows me to make him super unpleasant, which is a nice departure from many of my characters...though it does seem like my best ones tend to be low charisma (Marwook, a mad wookie bomber/martial artist and Grimace MacBrüder, a surly irascible dwarven barbarian). Odd, in real like I tend to be quite charming. ![]() |

I don't think any of the posts need changing.
Anyway, the next post might take just a bit for me to prepare. Geldar and 2nd; do you both know how to use secret tags? I plan on having your wherabouts inside not posted to the others (suspense, yay!) until you are together again, relying solely on what is communicated to Maia through Apex. Also... did Maia's name suddenly change in that last post or did I miss something? |

![]() For me, I do a lot of DMing, It makes it easier to get into a characters head when you play a ton of characters throughout your games. I find a good strategy for this is to write what it is you want to say (as you) then to look at it and ask, 'is this how my character would act?' Or the good old What would my character do?WWMCD? As far as low charisma characters. I find that players tend to like them quite a lot, even if their characters find them quite distasteful. This is more like movie low charisma than real life low charisma. Remember all of those "low charisma" characters in movies that you love? John McClaine, The Good, the Bad, and the Uglythe Man with No Name, Gimli, Though I'm not certain whether this is on purpose or it is just Keanu Reaves wooden styleNeo, The Terminator, Dr. Strangelove, Doc Brown, Django, Ellen Ripley, Travis Bickle, Oldboy (Korean), Highly recommendedOh Dae-Su, the deer hunterMichael, Everyone in Sin City, Every character Mickey Rourke has ever played, Beatrix Kiddo, the list goes on and that is just a few from the IMDB top 250on and on. Sometimes we love characters that just seem totally unlovable! |
