Pluck: Enforcer = Best buddy. Lawful and Honorable = Icing on the cake.
Pluck would definitely be seen as a peer by Daishi (Daishi does not note peers by rank, but by ability and measure of honor), which few of the other PCs really seem to exude in his opinion. Maybe Mary, if she ever openly demonstrates any kind of combat ability. Liara, Linath, and Gerard would be treated cooly, but respectfully. He's probably always trying to figure out if you are plotting anything. It's nothing personal, but I see Daishi being the least friendly with the Staff; he believes that the slaves are honor-bound to serve, but the staff are merely owned by coin, making them the greatest liability. Except the Goblins. He likes Pluck, and if Hands keeps good care of the arms and armor, that's a "bestest buddies" waiting to happen. Another important question: Is anyone brave enough to be in charge of the stable in which is kept a warhorse so terrifying that only Daishi is brave enough to ride it? Unless, of course, Jat decides that something like an Allosaurus would be more appropriate as a mount ![]() |

Pluck Flower does have his own sense of honor which differentiated him from others goblins in his clan, something he clearly recognized, but was confused about. After stating this, Pluck Flowers is still a goblin and he will do and say things that are normal to goblins but may seem repulsive to others. When these occasions happen he will learn from them.
Pluck doesn’t understand friendship since that concept or word did not exist in his clan. Mutual cooperation is something he does understand and if a verbal commitment is made he will follow it as long as it does not break any of the houses laws; written or unwritten. As stated earlier Pluck initiated contact with the slaves first. In his clan they were over looked but provided him with skills he has today. So upon his arrival he would have searched for and found out about Daishi, Marro and Liera. He then would have found a time to introduce himself to them. First appearing as a human child but stating who he and what he was. If they appeared not to have issues with Goblins he would then appear to them as himself. In order, his preference of the three it would be: Daishi, Liera, and finally Marro. Seeing that Daishi has been showing him respect Pluck Flowers would have approached him about sparring and training. He also would have asked if Daishi would teach him the craft of Calligraphy. Pluck has an agreeable attitude towards Liera; but she is still a female drow so stereotypes still keep him nervous. Pluck Flowers would be agreeable with Good with Hands since he knows what to expect from a fellow goblin. Pluck Flowers would probably not initiate any dealings with Gerard outside of collecting his pay. He doesn’t understand about economics and Gerards acting, I assume that a play or two has happened since Pluck has arrived, would just confuse him even further about the man. Pluck Flowers would probably be working with the spymaster on a frequent basis but at the moment don’t know much about the character to determine how Pluck would view him. I don’t see Pluck Flowers crossing paths with Mary but since she is a member of the houses family he would be on his best behavior; remain quiet until spoken too. This attitude is the same across all the Harkon family accept for Craigor. Pluck Flowers would be very intimated by Ba’al Ove thus would be seen at the chapel as frequently as deemed appropriate. Pluck Flowers has found that he likes the traditional aspect of the masses and its static nature. He is still very confused about the Gods. I believe that is all the characters that have posted in the player characters thread. Pluck Flowers is awake roughly 3.5 hours before and after dusk and dawn. He sleeps 5 hours during the day and rests/catnaps 5 hours during the night. Last edited by Kshnik; Jan 10th, 2014 at 03:33 PM. |

Unfortunately, Marro still can't shake the traditional gnome bias against goblins. He holds no ill-will towards them and appreciates their service to the house, but definitely won't be fraternizing with Pluck or Good. Sorry fellas, no mage friend for you.
Marro will definitely be taking note of anyone with even the least of magical power in house. So, if your character is going to be slinging spells at all, let me know; if you don't want others in the house knowing, secret it to me. I guess you could keep it secret altogether, but you'll have an unhappy little gnome on your hands if you're caught (and likely an unhappy Lord on your heels too...). That being said, Marro probably won't be the closest of friends with Ba'al Ove, but he'd be happy to have someone to talk magic with now and again.

Mary Crow - Gerard would probobly be on amicable terms with her. Given her penchant for sarcastic remarks, Gerard would find her good company for verbal debates.
Linkath'ak'uech - Being both of musical inclination, Gerard would probobly enjoy Linath'ak'uech's company and even offer to perform with him every so often to boost the houses' moral. Liera - Gerard would probobly be on good terms with Liera seeing how he not only treats the slaves well, but also encourages them to exceed and learn new things. The fact that both Gerard and Liera want to make sure the slaves are doing their jobs and doing them well only adds to this. Good with Hands - Gerard would not necessarily be inclined to spend an evening drinking with the little guy, but his skills at arms and dedication would impress Gerard. At the least Gerard would make it a point to periodically ask Good with Hands what he could use to keep the arms in good condition or potentially improve them. (Obviously the best time to do this is when Gerard is figuring costs for each section of the house.) If it fell within the houses budget, Gerard would try to get Good with Hands the supplies he needed. Pluck Flowers - Gerard can respect and admire Pluck's desire to keep his words, but his goblin nature is not necessarily something Gerard would want to spend prolonged periods of time around. If anything Gerard would maintain a working relationship with Pluck, but otherwise leave the goblin to his own devices. No need to get the paranoid little bugger more worked up. Ba'al Ove - While not outspoken about his religeon, Gerard does come to mass every week and greets the priest with the respect of his station. On rare occastions, Gerard would come to the "book club" meetings held by Ba'al Ove sporting his own copy of the main holy text of Hades. There he would actually enjoying discussing many of the philisophical and spiritual meanings behind Hade's lore and actions. (Not denouncing or in any way speaking heretically mind you. Simply pondering the greater meanings behind Hade's methods.) Gerard also has no issues with Hade's wife Lillith either. So while not a zealout, Gerard is definately someone who could get along with Ba'al Ove. Marro - Gerard will often come to Marro with questions regarding the arcane. He also defers to the gnome's knowledge when desiring to improve his performances. Ueada Daishi - Gerard treats Daishi with respect and lets him do his job. Since Daishi is not one to be talkative, Gerard would mainly speak to him when necessary and with a simple curt nod when passing him in the halls. Imperius Aballon - Imperious' borderline meglomania and attitude of being above others would amuse Gerard although he would never admit it. If it were not for his station as Master of Coin Gerard suspects he would receive no respect at all from the man. This fact alone is the primary reason Gerard holds no grudge against him for his actions. So long as he maintains the level of respect towards Gerard, Gerard will do the same for him. Beyond that, Gerard suspects Imperious has grander goals than maintaining a run down castle in a far off place. This ambition combined with his arrogant, yet cunning persona make him a potential ally and enemy of Gerard. Only time will tell. Lunigen Harkon - In one regard, Gerard sees a little of himself in the man as they both were raised under ruthless fathers yet seemed to be in many ways opposite of them. Though he would never confide such things to Lunigen, it helps Gerard feel a little more understanding towards him. His penchant for diplomacy also meshes well with Gerard's personality and the two could probobly have lenghty discussion about just about anything and still find the conversation enjoyable. That is where the similarities end. Beyond the charismatic youth that he appears to be, Gerard cannot help but feel uneasy around his presence. The man's background and his family make Gerard think there is more to Lunigen than he lets on. Perhaps behind the mask of diplomacy and honor there is something more... something from which that uneasy feeling of dread seeps from. In any case, Gerard finds Lunigen's biggest flaw to be his honor bound ways. In such a society true honor is a hard thing to come by even if it is pitiless. The fact the he has survived this long only speaks to his unseen strength and skill.

Anyone who trained in the military academy might have known Vinami. In the academy she was very studious and very detail oriented. She generally kept to herself, and was not always very comroderous with the members of her squad, though she was never mean or anything, she simply seemed to like her privacy.
She seems a changed woman after the events of her last mission, she seems even more reserved and distant, and she has a distant look in her eyes, a thousand yard stare not uncommon to survivors of traumatic missions. What happened on that mission definitely changed her. |

Mary Crow: Ba'al Ove would probably like Mary Crow, he would like her even more if she helped him wrangle the servants of the house for weekly mass, but as long as she was efficient and did not display any outward signs of heresy they will be on fine terms. She would be one of the few people who could expect special rites and sacrifices to be made for her, if she desired it. And she could always approach him for advice on matters of religion. Otherwise he would always have a pleasant word or conversation with her, but he is not one for terribly much verbal sparring.
Linath'ak'uech: Ba'al Ove would likely have little to do with the drow, as they worship Lilith and he is a priest of Hades. He would not expect to see him at mass, except perhaps for holidays and special occasions when both Hades and Lillith are honored. He wouldn't go out of his way to avoid Linath, he just wouldn't go out of his way to seek him out, unless he wanted assistance in rooting out heresy in Harkon holdings. If he wanted to worship Lilith, Ba'al Ove would refer him to the Shepherd of the Order of Secrets, Third Circle, in Wilden. Liera: Like Linath, Ba'al Ove would not be particularly close to Liera. Her natural affinity for Lillith would be acceptable to him, but not particularly interesting. Again he would be pleasant to her, but would not seek out her company. If she wanted to worship Lilithl, Ba'al Ove would refer her to the Shepherd of the Order of Secrets in Wilden. Good With Hands: Ba'al Ove would be wary of Good With Hands, as most greenskins worship Gork. However he would do his best to ignore this, and Good in general. Since his supply needs are fairly limited Ba'al Ove would not have much to do with him. And because of his goblin strangeness he would not like him particularly well at all. If Good became too demonstrative of his worship of Gork, Ba'al Ove would reprimand him. If it went on too long he would call in an inquisition on him. Gerard Reinhardt: Ba'al Ove would like Gerard quite well. After all a faithful member of the flock is always welcome. He would be glad to have him both at mass and at study group. He would be inclined to bend some of the Shepherds' resources to assist him if he asked. Though such favors would not be possible on every occasion. Pluck Flowers: Ba'al Ove would be wary of Pluck Flowers because most of his kind worship Gork. However, he would appreciate the goblins efforts to reform himself and become a member of Hades flock. He would be prepared to answer questions of the goblin on occasion, though he would generally find the creature distasteful. Marostiltzen Zauber: Ba'al Ove would be prepared to converse with Marostiltzen, though his limited knowledge of matters arcane might be less than thrilling for the gnome. Ba'al Ove has a fairly strong understanding of spellcraft though, and the two of them could find a common subject there. Like most slaves Ba'al Ove would be prepared to overlook his lack of faith, as long as he did not espouse any other god openly. However, if Marostiltzen was caught worshiping another god Ba'al Ove would be forced to call an inquisition on him. Ueda Daishi: If Ueda Daishi show faith to Hades then he would be welcome in the chapel whenever he liked. If he does not Ba'al Ove will generally ignore him. If Ueda wishes to worship Lilith then Ba'al Ove would refer him to the Shepherd of the Order of Secrets in Wilden. If he is caught worshipping any god other than Hades or Lilith Ba'al Ove will be forced to call an inquisition on him. Imperius Aballon: Will give an opinion when we know more about him.? Lunigen Harkon: Ba'al Ove would be respectful to Lunigen as he is with all members of the Harkon family. The young noble would always be welcome in the chapel for religious counsel or simply to talk. Ba'al Ove would particularly enjoy the company of someone with some knowledge of the religious intricacies, and even some of the secret rights of the Order of Undeath. Privately Ba'al Ove would be quite warm with the Harkon scion, more so than any other member of the immediate family. Last edited by davide15; Jan 9th, 2014 at 12:48 PM. |

Just wanted to put it out there (since I've been woefully lazy in this thread) that Linath does his best to "play nice" with everyone, and be respectful to all from lowly slave to highest end lords. I see him as that guy that "you just can't help but like a little because he's just....that guy". (We all prob know one of those!)Given his background from House Grimblade and its inclination toward "Grow, Adapt,Strive to be better" he tends to encourage this in others. Though as noted above, he does his best to limit interaction (publicly) with certain castes.
As for his religion inclination, he pays all the proper lip service to Hades and Lillith both but isn't a largely religious drow. He shows up just enough to the services to avoid any unsavory labels. |

I guess I'll post a bit more detail now that others have had a chance to do so.
Linath'ak'uech: Mary's particular talents for gathering information, as well as her background (seemingly coming in off the street) have allowed her to become useful to Linath in various ways. Though she keeps her true past as hidden as her dagger, most other aspects of Mary Crow have been discovered at one point by her 'It's an interesting arrangement, as she works under him in matters regarding intelligence, though her rank in the house as a whole is higher.Superior'. To Linath, Mary is charming, agile, a good actor (when needed) and an equally good make-up artist who has knowledge and connections high and low... Linath would even know of Mary's secret love for Preform (oratory) +7writing and poetry. Mary speaks her mind bluntly towards him, good or bad, but the two seem to have a well-to-do working relationship. Liera: Up until the point that Mary was proposed to by Bejen Harkon, she worked as a direct subordinate to Liera. Naturally, Mary spent her time under Liera trying to establish a good rapport, and seldom balked at orders given. After her elevation to "in-law" status in the Harkon family, Mary still showed Liera support and loyalty whenever it was convenient to do so. Though her 'new position' seldom ever allotted her much actual power. At the very least, Mary made sure never to cause Liera any undue stress. Good With Hands: Living on the streets, Mary had to deal with all manner of creatures, goblins included. She finds them volatile and highly unpredictable. Despite her best efforts, it's impossible to tell if and when a goblin will flip their course of action and derail any plans that rely upon them. As such, Mary tries to make sure to keep them as options rather than pivotal parts of any plan. Good With Hands has proven no different thus far. Though she has yet to really give the little guy a chance. Gerard: Mary and Gerard seem to have a lot in common, as their personalities are very similar. Which makes Gerard a potentially dangerous foe, or valuable ally, in her eyes (as she is very confident in her own abilities). Before she was wed to Bejen, she had neither the position or status to deal with Gerard overmuch, however since her "promotion", Mary has found that her and Gerard's paths tend to cross frequently. Both of them help Linath from time to time with his various arts, and as such, Gerard would also know of some of Mary's abilities, namely her charm and her skill at crafting disguises. In different circumstances, Mary might regard Gerard as a love interest, however currently such a thing would only serve in hurting her position with the Harkon family... and as such she has made no hint of such thoughts. She has much more important things to do, and... for the time being, they require the power of the Harkon family. Pluck Flowers: Like Good With Hands, Pluck suffers, in Mary's eyes, from the same chaotic essence that goblins seem to be made of. She's noticed, however, that this goblin is very quiet and serious about his duties. As of yet, Mary can't tell if he is a legitimate protector of the house, or a green explosion of unpredictability waiting to happen... so naturally she gives the goblin a wide, but respectful berth. Ba'al Ove: Mary blames the Church of Hades and Lilith for a significant portion of things that are wrong with the world... and views them as a bridge that must be eventually crossed and then burnt, for her to achieve her objectives. In the meantime however, she needs to play nice. And, as a man, Ba'al Ove is likely the best priest of Hades that Mary Crow could ask for. She makes sure to show up to church events unless she has a valid reason for not doing so. And has even begun to show interest in Ba'al Ove's teachings... 'know thy enemy' and whatnot. Though she doesn't go out of her way to make sure others attend the sermons, she takes extra care so that her actions do not prevent anybody from showing up as well (without good reason, of course.) Marro: Marro and Mary converge interest in the land of books. Mary loves to read, and often finds herself in the library, swapping books that she has read for others (making sure to keep everything in the order that she found it.) While the two do have the occasional conversation, it is not uncommon for the two of them to sit in the library in silence and read separately. Based on her general choice in books, Marro might know (if he is attentive about it) that Mary likes stories with strong, independent protagonists, as well as all manner of poetry books and even some history books. For her part, Marie likes Marro. Mainly because interacting with the gnome is very low maintenance. Daishi: Mary and Daishi has seldom ever interacted. She sees him as a physical extension of Craigor's will, and when matters involving the Master of the Harkon house are concerned... Mary takes extra note to steer very clear. Gothog: Mary met Gothog while she lived on the streets, and contacted him much later (after her husband Bejen Harkon's death) for employment as her personal bodyguard. More information is required for a detailed analysis. Others: More information is required. |

Mary Crow: Liera is a bit jealous of Mary Crow, but gets along well and admires her also. For Mary spent time as a slave who eventually did her time then got lucky and married and soon after her husband dies. Mary is so free and Liera is stuck at the moment. Liera hopes that Perhaps if they were to become very good friends, she may on day free Liera.
Linath'ak'uech: Liera would like him a lot, for not only is he a drow but also a good looking drow who loves spying and gathering information. She could find her self aiding him at times, all he would need to do is ask. Ba'al Ove: Liera is indifferent to Ba'Al Ove, she has no attraction to him or desire to worship Hades but she does respects him. She approached him once about worshiping Lilith and Ba'al Ove referred her to the" Shephers" of the Order of Secrets in Wilden. Good With Hands: Liera would enjoy the company of Good With Hands, she has no problems with dealing with goblins and at times enjoys it better then humans. Liera likes the fact he is a good craftsman ans wonders how his hands might do in other situations and if he lives up to his name. Gerard Reinhardt: Liera could fall in love with Gerard. He is good on the eyes as well as with word, cunning, charming and ambitious are 3 pluses in Liera's book he also shows and treats Liera with the respect she deserves, unlike many others who view her as the slave she is. When he is around Liera, she can be caught blushing sometimes as she thinks of all the forms of Eroticism she could enjoy. Pluck Flowers: Liera enjoys the company of Pluck Flowers and prefers him to be the goblin he is. They have shared many stories together and she has been secretly teaching him a new skill "Eroticism - how to romance members of the opposite sex", a skill he has not learned yet. Marostiltzen Zauber: Liera is friendly with her fellow slave, Marostiltzen and have served the house together for many years. Other than that, there is not much in common they share. Liera respects him and often tries to aid him with acquiring things for his research that a regular slave would not have access too. At times they may speak about local knowledge, but that's about it. Ueda Daishi: Liera is indifferent to Ueda Daishi. She respects his position and ranking as a fellow slave but she does not understand his unique code. The fact that he never relaxes makes Liera's approach or advances fall short. Imperius Aballon: No idea. Will give some info once we know more about him.? Last edited by kaylara; Jan 7th, 2014 at 09:21 PM. |
