((Sorry, Spazztick, I missed your question the first time. The way I do critical hits is that you roll your damage normally and then multiply your damage by whatever the weapon dictates))

Jasen's jab struck a glancing blow to the creature, but its hard surface was not even scratched.
Madantya had been waiting for the creature to come to her and when it came within range, she took a swing at it, smiling when she made brief contact with the creature, causing it to show a bit more damage. Skurvin continued to busy himself with reloading his crossbow. Kria, however, was finding the creature harder to hit and do damage to now that it was aware of the attacks raining down upon it, and only one of her claws managed to penetrate its thick hide. Madantya's smile fell from her face quickly as the creature raised its sword above its head and brought it down on her with amazing force ((10 damage)). Seeing this, Valtyra found herself paralyzed with fear, clutching her small dagger in her hands. |

Suddenly, from the top of the staircase to the north there was a voice, speaking something in an arcane language. The pillar woman began to slow until she finally came to a stop, turning back to stone, but not reverting to pillar form. Turning to look, everyone could see that the woman and her bugbear bodyguards had returned. Seeing the expressions on the group's face, she smiled. "She was only supposed to activate if you followed me. I seem to have messed up the incantation. I apologize. You should be able to take any exit but this one now." She turned to go again.

"A con artist with a conscience?" said Jasen, intrigued. "Why don't you stand and face us?"

Madantya and Jasen's words fell on an empty staircase as the woman had vanished up them once again without another word.

"Are any of you healers?" Jasen asked the group, looking at Madantya with concern.

Valtyra flushed. "I was training with a healer, back home, but I left before I could learn much. I can try?" She reached out to Mad, tentatively, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
Dice Heal Check, if accepted:

The clumsy attempts to patch up Madantya's wounds didn't seem to be doing any harm, but at the same time they didn't seem to accomplish much in the way of bandaging the wounds either. In the end, between Madantya and Valtyra, they managed to stop the bleeding, but her wound still was deep and scary.
