DAMMIT!! Now I've gotta put up with the fact that that turtling weasel of a coward Matt Cooke is a Stanley Cup Champion! Is there no freakin' justice in this world? Where have the Hockey Gods gone!? Are they freakin' blind?!?

Yes, yes the hockey gods are blind, can you believe Gary Bettman's face when he called Crosby out to get the cup? I bet someone has to go clean something up now. Jerk of a commissioner anyway.

I didn't have the stomach to watch the presentation. I'll literally throw up if I see Matt "I start things that I'm too chickens**t to finish" Cooke lifting the Cup. However, your imagery made me throw up a little in my mouth. That slimy lawyer seems to have a hard appendage for young hockey players. That, and putting franchises where they won't succeed. Such as Atlanta, Carolina, and Tampa.

I just hope that after this Phoenix court case is finished (no matter who wins it), the other teams will see the Count for the weasel that he is, and oust him and install someone who is actually good for hockey.

(Sorry, Doc - I'm actually hoping Jim Balsillie wins )

THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

That was such an awesome game, and it was great to see Sidney Crosby lift his first of many Stanley Cups.

But my favourite part of it all was seeing the look on that traitor Marian Hossa's face when the Wings lost. Haha! That's what you get for backstabbing your team!

Well, hockey season's over. Basketball season's (for all intents and purposes) over (not saying the Magic can't win three in a row, since they should have just finished winning three in a row, but I don't see the come back).

I guess we get to focus on baseball now.

GO RANGERS!!!

Fun fact: the only team in the AL West with better pitching (fewer runs allowed) than the Rangers right now are the Mariners, whom have the worst offense in baseball by a long shot.

It was nice of the Rangers to install a hot tub and pool table in the AL West basement. It's not like the A's have anything else to do....like HIT THE FRICKEN BASEBALL.

Nba draft. My Mavs got Rodrigue Beaubois, Nick Calathes, and Ahmad Nivins.

Calathes is pointless, but I like the other two. Little upset that Patty Mills went a pick too early. Like Jerel McNeal, Jeff Adrien, and Luke Nevill as undrafted FA's.

....

And the Rangers can hit again! Yay!

Yay another Rangers and Mavs fan! I don't really feel too happy with the Mavs draft results though, someone who averages 10 points and 2.3 assists in the French league as a point guard doesn't exactly get my blood pumping. Still, he's quick enough and long enough that maybe he'll be a good defensive player for us. Calathes is also an underwhelming pick, a 6'5'' guard who'll be in Greece next year also doesn't excite me, and I don't know much about Nivins so I don't have an opinion one way or the other. It just seems like most other good teams are making themselves better this season through trades and we really haven't yet. Still, I can always hope they surprise me in the next few months.

Well after leading 2-0 I had my hopes of a US soccer win dashed by Brazil's comeback. Final 3-2 Brazil, good game.

Geez, I'm only gone for a year and the Sports thread falls off the front page!

At the moment my Braves are over 500 since a long time. Too bad the Phillies are freakin tearin it up! Hopefully they'll pull a Mets and blow it. I doubt it so I'm looking to the WildCard.

I can't wait till football starts up again. Notre Dame should be good this year. Charlie better hope they are. I'm really looking forward to seeing Crabtree on the Niners. Hopefully he lives up to what I think he can be.

And my boy, The Big Shaq-uisition, is now playing with The Chosen One. That should be awesome to watch.

Currently, I'm sufferring from hockey withdrawal. Unfortunately, signings in the offseason have been unspectacular and anti-climatic. Is it hockey season yet?

Mark FREAKING Buehrle throw a no hitter, no, not just a no hitter, a perfect game.

In other news, OB, I bet you wish you didn't have him riding the pine right about now eh? (fantasy baseball)
