Yup, he had 300 and change left over from the starting money. Didn't know what to use it for as Jerm is kind of a minimalist, but I guess it came in handy after all :P

Do we use d10's for our initiative?

d20's is fine, but would I double my reaction adjustment modifier?

EDIT: One extra question. Will there be maps for distance? Just curious as I can just add in my posts Q's on distance to targets and mentally keep track.

D10 for initiative. Also I forgot to ask for your actions. Jerm is the only one close enough for melee combat this round. Everyone else can close to melee range in one round.

I generally don't do maps because I am graphically challenged. DM fail. If I have time today I will try and and work up something simple. Davino and his henchmen are about a dozen yards away and standing three abrest, Davino a little in front. The canyon where they are standing is only wide enough for 3 1v1 battles and leave everyone enough room to swing a weapon. The wagon won't have much extra room to get through.

O.k., we might need more clarity.

If we're using individual group initiative, can I assume we add spell time, weapon speeds etc...? Does the reaction adjustment modify your initial initiative check? All of them?

Just for clarity, in 2E's individual initiative you usually add modifiers to your initiative based on what you're going to be doing, and usually state your actions with your initiative (with the idea that you don't act in a combat, then decide what that action will be after already moving). For example, casting a spell that has a time of '5', means I would add 5 to the initiative. Or weapons like a Short Sword have '3'. So when I go to swing a Short Sword, I would add 3 to the roll.

It's to simulate the weight and time it takes to carry/swing a sword or speak and release a spell/power.

Yep, sorry for not being clear. We are doing individual initiative, and yes add the optional modifiers to initiative based on weapon, spell, etc.

Man this DM is rusty!

Hope I've answered all questions... Distance from the wagon to the three riders is about 12 yards. Sassafrass, since Thakar doesn't have riding as a non-weapon proficiency, he would get a penalty trying to fight while mounted.

So far I've got Thakar and Krik-Ket moving towards the opponents and Jerm moving sideways across them (presumably out of range from Davino). Let me know if that's what you had in mind. Update coming tomorrow eve (CST) so get your updates in by then, thanks!
