I just started a new Let's Play for The Banner Saga and would really appreciate some time and feedback. I'm keeping my episodes to roughly fifteen minutes to make it easier to digest, soooo if anyone has the time... ![]() |

Was that you who commented, then? :P
Also sorry for the video stuttering so much; I'll be adjusting some settings to hopefully eliminate that in future vids. |

I really don't want to break the golden rule - don't fight your party mates, but from what I've seen of Maz so far, I'm not sure how to get him off that hatch in any sort of timely fashion.
Edit - If I'm out of line or have gone too far let me know, but I thought about it and I haven't come up with a way to get him off the hatch to go and wade into the fray of battle. Maybe I'll add a little more dialogue... Edit 2 - The sequel - Ok, edited to a more diplomatic approach, no fighting...yet. Last edited by ColdBones; Jan 27th, 2014 at 08:53 PM. |

Well, at least Apex can't really die. Shame about Alethea and Rego, though. I'm gonna miss them.

Heh, nah, I'm okay with it CB. Love the dramatic tension! Takes some real cojones to pull that move on Mazgurg, though I might have Dekor sleep with one eye open from now on (if they both make it out of this alive!) Just remember you brought TPK to the table (I was just going to be menacing and vicious).
I'll think about how Maz might react to that impassioned call for group unity. I don't know yet, because in his mind, another opportunity, one where he might have a real ambush on the Jaguar might be better, even with fewer people, than this particular lost battle. After all, he is still under the impression that there are at least 20 fighters down there, 4-1 odds are pretty bad for anyone, and with the skilled leader of the Muckrunners down there too...I don't love those chances, and neither does Maz. However, a bolt in the eye definitely doesn't appeal much either, my turn to think. Still, I'm a bit surprised Dekor went with the cowardly crossbow and didn't try a bull rush. |

It is tough to play with a strong evil character in the party and not just give in and let him have his way, particularly Maz. I'm not complaining or finger pointing (I want to be clear about it here that I'm not bitching about you or your character), you're playing him well, its just a challenge (for me anyway), since Dekor's true neutral, he really just wants to get the job done, but not throw lives away completely unnecessarily. If someone dies in a fight or falls off something trying to climb somewhere or something like that, well, that's the way the cookie crumbles, but he just can't leave them barricaded down there. Especially since he agreed with the plan in principle. If nothing else, it will be a pain in the ass to explain what happened to the council. And there's always his Father to think about... All of those things are his problems to worry about though, certainly not yours or Maz's. I've been trying to think of some common ground for the two of them and haven't come up with anything just yet either. Perhaps after the first real fight there will be something for the two of them - things can't just keep escalating. |

If you guys make it through chapter 1, there SHOULD be an event that brings something much bigger that must be dealt with to the table, and I think the two have the practicality to leave each other live at that point . But who knows. I'm okay with you guys duking it out if you are, new characters can always be introduced in the case of death.
But any murder=in=your=sleep attempts will be met with divine intervention, so you know. |

I'll have a new post for Alethea up later today. I'll take some of the storyline from my last in-game post (Post #133), but I'll alter it slightly to incorporate Rego being inside the compound, also for Apex making an attack. I'll probably keep Alethea's kung-fu acrobatics move in some way. So I'll amaze you guys with yet another wonderful post of rogue-goodness in a little while.
![]() PS - Killswitch, I really enjoy your vids. That looks like a cool game.

Oooh, I wanna post so bad right now. But I'd better wait to see if Alethea's Acrobatics check is a success... I hope it is...

ColdBones, yup. Revisiting it after its patches and whatnot. I was one of those who bought it on release...

I also bought on release and was enraged with the game. Is it worth the revisit?

Have yet to determine. Offline mode will be here soon, at least. You can check out my YT channel if you're curious. So far it seems to be at least working as intended this time around, with the exception of one disconnection from server.
You could even join the region i'm LPing in if you want. YOu should add me on Origin; killswitch423 of course. Last edited by killswitch423; Jan 30th, 2014 at 04:00 AM. |
