Honestly, I'm still playing SimCity 2000 and I couldn't be bothered to get the new game. Personally, I am appalled by EA and their BS Origin DRM tools that do nothing to improve gameplay or connectivity over games that do not have that particularly crippling disfunction. You know what, EA can go shove it's collective head in the sand, I won't buy another game from them until they stop being terrible to their customers.

Madness...? THIS IS THE EA BOYCOTT!!!!

Trapped in dark enemy hideouts, eidelons attacking, game companies botching-up user-friendliness...it's utter mayhem, I tell's ya's!

Up until not too long ago I was sinking a lot of time into Simcity 4 - the community mods for that game are nuts.

Maxis and Bioware are the only reasons I continue to purchase anything from EA. Outside of those studios I've about zero interest in their products. But it's not related to Origin, which other than needing to log in I don't even notice the existence of; they just haven't been producing games I enjoy outside of Maxis/Bioware. ~shrug~

Anyhoo, is anyone planning on adding anything before I determine the results of what's happening at the moment?

Not to mention being terrible to their workforce. 2nd year in a row they've been named Worst Company to Work For? Yikes!

@Killswitch I'll wait to post until I see just what happens with Alethea. I'm guessing Geldar's roll is good enough, but I won't jump the gun.

Nope, just waiting to see if Apex hits and/or is obliterated.

While our characters wait to learn of their fate, I think we need to talk about snow for a second.
I'm sick of it. That, and ice. I just shoveled my driveway for the...?...fourth time in about two weeks. Mrs. Geldar teaches private school, so she's had to go to work while just about every county school system around us has pretty much shut down. At least roads are good here. Our road crews all do a good job, I'm just tired of shoveling/ice-picking.

Ok...I think...yeah that was all I've got right now. Lol

Meanwhile, we're facing a severe drought out here in the west. The river running through my town has been dry since July. But no, there's definitely no such thing as climate change.

I'm with ya, Geldar. This winter has already gone on too long. When I heard the groundhog saw its shadow Sunday, I joked with some friends that I was gonna find it and do a Carl Spackler. Then one of my friends said that he heard that Puxatawney Phil flipped off the crowd after seeing his shadow.

Of course, after this little conversation I had to watch both Caddyshack and Groundhog Day.

Two of my all-time favorite movies.

Geldar are you in Michigan? Up here in the Yukon we got dumped on, lots of snow, but then when everyone else was in the deep freeze, it was actually warm here, above freezing for a week or so and we lost almost all of it.

Of course, now we have a nice layer of ice on everything....I'd rather have the snow.

I wonder what it is that draws Bill Murray and Groundhogs?

But so far I have only had the snow one time this year, and that might be it for me. Very sad, I must admit. But still about par for the course.

No, Kentucky. So not bad relatively speaking in terms of harsh winters, but still enough to belly-ache and whine the few days out of the season that we actually do get a bit of snow and ice. And slush, and...

Be careful up there where you are.
