The Chatterbox
I encourage you to talk amongst yourselves, and maybe come up with joint backgrounds for some characters. I always find it odd when a group of adventurers are all a bunch of strangers. It adds depth if at least some of the characters already knew each other.

Oh, wow - so nobody sneeze in my direction and I should do fine. Rolling an elven mage/thief.

Thank you for the invite! Shall see what type of character I play. Won't wish for anything in particular based on how my day has been going.
On a side note, been gaming since 1982. Played most TSR games and other role playing games like Car Wars, Boot Hill, Star Frontiers, Gamma World, Star Fleet Battles. The list goes on and on. But D&D has been my favorite.

Howdy all! Pleased to be here!
Fair warning, I probably won't have a lot of time to devote here until Sunday. I've rolled for stats, but it may take a bit before I put them together into a character. |

Ghrimm...looks like I will join you on the mage/thief. I have just enough dexterity and intelligence thus think I'm smarter and more agile than I really am. My dad always said it was all your state of mind. On the flip side I don't see to have enough common sense to be a cleric and was just too lazy to exercise and be a fighter. Good thing is I don't sick often and I have a slight personality.

You have one or two up on me then. My claim to fame was a good starting cash roll - managed to get pretty much everything I wanted with a few gold to spare and a few pounds left in my light carrying capacity! Take sleep as your spell as well and we will just snooze every enemy and slit their throats! Much safer that way.

If your stats are too low, I'll allow some modification. If the total of the Ability Score bonuses and penalties is negative, I'll allow you to flip the scores by subtracting all the scores (not just the "bad" ones) from 21. This makes a 3 into an 18, for example.

If I took up on that offer, I would go from 7,9,8,9,11,11 to 14,9,13,9,11,11. I don't mind having low scores. Makes for some role playing. The change would open up all classes and lean more towards fighter or cleric. Unless there would be a need to have a fighter or cleric incase nobody is able to play them with their roles, I'm good with my lower scores. I have some ideas.

Also, don't roll for HP, in order to increase survivability, take maximum on your first HP dice.

Believe I will stick with my rolls as well despite definitely being negative. Mage/thief is more my style than fighter or cleric. I have updated my HP to 4.

Buggers. Just noticed that I have to play an Elf if I multi-class. I don't remember the last time I played an Elf. Never liked them. Boy. What to do.

I'll stick with my rolls. I'm thinking an elf cleric at the moment. So what deities are there?

Sorry about the delay. I found out I have to travel to Dayton Ohio for the day. Will continue to work on the character.

I'm finally getting the chance to circle back to finish up my character here. Based on my stats, I'm thinking either Elf Cleric or Halfling Thief would be best...but we already have both of those in our party.
What we don't have is a Fighter of any sort. I could roll up a Human Fighter/Mage - my Str and Int are both only 11, but that's "enough"...though a 6 Con might make being a front-liner a bit dicey. I think I might go for it anyway. He could be a kid whose father always envisioned him becoming a great warrior, but he always wanted to be a Mage (basically the medieval equivalent of "dad wants his son to be the football star that he never was, but his son just wants to play D&D").
