That's definitely becoming a habit for me. Last year when Birched revealed the RPGX statistic from across the year, three of the OOC threads with the highest post count were games that I took part in. Maybe I'm just a very OOC-heavy player. But good communication is definitely something that I value.

I just checked. I got 80 posts in our OOC thread while the next person after me got 40. Should I be embarrassed?

It's true! The story on your side of the bracket ended up looking a lot more collaborative than ours, even if the basic plot beats were almost identical.

Hopefully we'll be able to get in on some of that fun next round! I certainly didn't expect that much OOC talk, but it seems like y'all had a good time with it.

Right you are, I didn't think that far. I just figured that some sort of practice environment was the only explanation for how the story could advance with everybody's experiences equally valid. It was either that or the other team got blown out into vacuum with the officers, survived, and then somehow made it planetside to have an adventure together with the officers. That somehow seemed less likely, just as unlikely as some parallel adventure occurring in the bowels of the ship while we got to the bridge side. With full access to the ship, our crew would have naturally intersected with another one if it was like that. A practice environment also was the best explanation for keeping a safe story continuation open when it really seems like we were at liberty to really produce some carnage on the Exodus. There's so much that could have capsized the whole story of saving humanity.

Incidentally, how would you say were our group's reactions to Captain Worrell's reveal? While Piper wouldn't have punched him, she's fully outraged. Not enough to take it up with anybody, but her mood moving forward would be terrible, no matter if she's sent home or back into cryo.

For Donny this would just reinforce that the powers that be on Mars are grossly incompetent, and now would have a dash of dystopian manipulations. How the Running Man had everyone running around like rats in a maze.

David's probably playing it cool, shaking hands, complimenting people on their performance etc. But inside he's shaken. The powers that be are more powerful than he realized, and he's paranoid that they'll discover his true loyalties.

Sherman is sulking that someone figured out his awesome and wicked plan of sneaking aboard, then trapping him in a weird-ass simulation and then have the galls to pretend this was all part of the plan.


He's a tiny bit happy no one seems to want to toss him overboard just yet,or has him arrested.
