It is kinda interesting we're the first two. Tempted to do a reaction, but might wait for some of the others to show up first. Give them a chance.

You shouldn't wait on me. I realized that this would be the best way to make our characters meet to establish a canonical interaction, but I genuinely don't know if I'll have the free time to dive into the free RP thread. There are at least seven other games waiting for posts on my stack right now, and as I deplete the stack, it's bound to keep replenishing. Outplay will very much be a break time from my other games, because I'm pretty much running at capacity.

Understood. Just to give a head's up though, that'll work fine for now but when the actual game part hits they'll be looking for daily posts for judging. Not in this bar, obviously. :P

Oh yeah, I know. I participated in the last two years too. Usually I just put my other games on break during the Outplay week and let everybody in my other games know.

I'll play this game too! I think at the start of the game, David's a little too cynical to see the others as people... he's too focused on the mission, and on his negative assumptions about the kind of person who'd sign up for this job. Here's what he might think of the others

• David would respect where Wally comes from as a laborer, if not his current profession. He'd see Wally as a perfect example of humanity's sickness. A human who is afraid to spend time on a planet is a tragedy in his eyes. He sees a real need in people like Wally for someone to bring humanity back down to earth, so to speak, and maybe a little counseling would do Wally some good.
• David likely has some contempt for Xenology, and for those who push it to the masses. He'd see Piper as needlessly driving humanity away from where they belong, and teaching children to dream of the stars (something only he seems to think is bad). His best hope for positive interactions with Piper would be civilian moments, where he might be able to see the human behind the xenologist.
• If Donny ever had an opportunity to tell David about the heaven he'd lived in on Earth, David would immediatley become his biggest fan and bombard him with questions. David would certainly think that Donny might be receptive to the Inheritors' vision of a new Eden.
• David would start by seeing the notion of an Android Therapist as a ghoulish and insulting mockery of his own profession as a "real" therapist which would sour his initial impression of Ledanya. But he also has a soft spot for anybody who acts to defy the corporations even if he thinks they're doing it for all the wrong reasons.
• Sherman is probably the only member of the crew David hasn't heard of (I imagine he has access to personnel files with at least rough information on the others aboard). But if they met I think David would see in Sherman an opportunity and a natural ally, as Sherman is resourceful and has good reason to hate the status quo on Mars.
• Again, born on Earth is a great opportunity to make a fanboy out of David. They would probably agree about "true humanity" but there would also probably be some room for David to be slowed down by Samuel's sobering descriptions of his time on Earth.
• Grisella I think presents a huge problem for David and his secret plot. She's seemingly loyal to her corporation and highly combat capable. He might try to get to her through therapy, but I wonder if he'd have the patience to put up with her for long.

Just as an update, two of the judges have posted feedback for all applications. The other two are about half-way through it. I will make it public when they are finished (Sunday at the latest). Hug kudos to them for stepping up when asked.
