The first post of NeverSleep is up for me. I wasn't planning on writing so much. Hopefully, I can be a bit more succinct now that things have gotten underway. I was up too late but I can't tell since today I got to sleep in this holiday morning. I'm sure I'll suffer more as the comp goes on Though, this was a nice way to ease back into it.

Can I just say how nice it was to be able to make my roll in a separate post before I started writing? That is absolutely my favorite update to the Outplay format. Good call, whoever and whenever that was.

Ya our rowdy game of Gin Rummy is quite intense! And the ship didnt have the earl grey tea I liked. My character is throwing a fit! Just some turbulence outside scaring some of the passengers. If you recall, I had advocated for private threads like this in the past, so I'm very glad to have them. Honestly, if I am able to advance, it's the first thing that I will (kindly) ask for now that I had it once.

From my POV, the Stands are for cheering and chatter, and I think those collaboration threads are very pretty standing next to the Stands. Keeping the audience less involved with the behind-the-scenes also seems like a plus, but maybe that's just me.

That begs the question, should we make the private planning threads public after the round ends? (If everyone likes them, I am happy to continue with it next round)

I don't mind revealing the private threads if you think that it would improve the competition and make a good impression for posterity's sake. I'm fairly neutral about that part.

Count me as a vote for making them public and keeping them for future rounds.

Also I should have a post up soon. If my dice rolls aren't correct, please let me know. This is my first time and I'm not 100% on how they're to work.

If you use d6scl for rolls, it counts as a success if the roll is lower than the target number, instead of d6sch. (Just for future reference.)

I think that both also count as automatic successes if the target number is hit, but I am not entirely certain if that doesn't require an additional roll tag.

That's the tag I was looking for. I knew sch, but not scl

I was using "sml" but it didn't count my success for hitting the CN. Does scl count multiple die and a success on the target? Or would that need to be "smcl"?
