Tumble Rules
IF they fail the tumble, do end up prone and have to use the remain half of their movement to get up? |

Since there is no official ruling in the DMG on the results of a failed tumble that ultimately means: No, the one performing the tumble won't fall down prone. That being said it can be homebrewed to have such consequences at your table.
Though, I would highly recommend the group having a discussion beforehand with the table on what options are available along with the consequences. Already, the one performing the tumble is giving up part of their action economy to perform the maneuver. I'd imagine it as them trying to roll past and the target catching them mid-stride and shoving them back to their original position.
