According to the rule book, a force field is another way to provide protection or toughness. Conceptually, it seems like it does more than that since it creates a barrier. So, for example, can a person with an active force field interact with an object, grapple an enemy, or be grappled?
I was playing a game recently where my character (Fury) was attacked by an enemy named Bulldog. He punches Fury with a strength of 6 (and the Fast Grab advantage). She has an impervious forcefield rank 16, so he doesn't do any damage. (He fails to penetrate the force field.) Can he then grab her? If so, is he holding on to the forcefield? One of Fury's complications is that she has a phobia of being touched. Is Bulldog touching her?
I ask because the GM never ruled in it when the game ended unexpectedly.
