Okay, I've got a friend playing as a sword sage. He wants to take the feat Adaptive stance. It allows you to change readied maneuvers to best meet the situation at hand at the cost of 1 full round action. Let's say his character uses a maneuver, and then uses the feat to change readied maneuvers and keeps the one he just used in the list. Would it come back readied?

Question about the Disguise Self spell and its +10 bonus to disguise checks. The spell states there's a will (disbelief) saving throw. What happens if someone disbelieves my Disguise Self spell, then? Would they immediate see through the illusion and thus realize I'm trying to disguise myself, or would I simply lose the +10 to disguise checks?

However, you could combine the spell with a mundane disguise, so even if they saw your true self, they'd still have to make a separate Spot check against your Disguise, although your Disguise check would not get the +10 bonus. |

When a swordsage uses the Adaptive Style feat, he not only gets to change all of his maneuvers but they all refresh as well. So: a swordsage can use all of him maneuvers, then spend a full round action and get them all back. -me

Ok, profession skill vs craft skill.
I have a character app in a thread that is going to be a smith. The question is, how encompassing is the skill Profession when it comes to a profession that makes things such as a smith? By being a smith, do you assume to have the same amount of ranks in Craft: Sword smithing and Craft: Armor smithing as you do your profession? Or does the profession only count for simpler tasks, while complex items like locks, weapons, armor, ect, have to pass a craft check, regardless of your profession? I would think at the least, you would receive a synergy bonus from the two skills.

Any "profession" skill which would involve making something is a Craft skill, not a Profession skill.

Would Craft: Smithing cover all forms of metal work or would you have to take individual craft skills for complex items?

I would say craft: smithing covers basic items, like horse shoes, spear heads, hammer heads, nails etc Probably a - to masterwork items
Then again I'd also say smithing is more of a profession than a craft. I see craft as a fairly specific line of work, like craft weapons or armour or fletching

Craft is pretty useless as a skill when compared to many others, so Craft (smithing) should in my opinion cover everything, from weapons to armor and tools.

Yup, for my PF game I broadened things, craft metalwork covered weapons, horse shoes, nails and armour etc.
Profession was just a way of saying what people did, then if I think it's relevant they can use it

Craft(smithing) is actually blacksmithing...so it covers things such as nails, spikes, wheels, pots...nonweapon/nonarmor/nonspecialized types of items.
A lot of DM intervention is needed for what is made with which skill. Armor and weapon smithing are separated because of the major differences needed in what is focused on (one of the places d20 is realistic). Also, unlike knowledge, there is not a specific full list of types of crafting. This is another place for a lot of DM intervention. If you would like more discussion and your players are interested in this, I recommend reposting this in the DM Screen under Houserules. -me

What is the level adjustment for a Werecrodile, and wereshark from Monster Compedium: monsters of faerun? Also it help if you described what level a character would be if they were afflicted with the two curses.

That should be listed in the book in question. We're not here to read the books for you, but to help explain. If you want the information in it, purchasing the book is the legal answer.
