it only has the option to trigger when it strikes something so yeah you would hit yourself as well if you use a spell that affects all within a set distance. However fireball is not a targetted spell so doesn't qualify to be placed in a spell storing weapon.

Correct - a fireball could not be put into spell storing.
Also, when using a spell in a spellstoring weapon it is cast on the one that is struck. You don't have a choice of targetting someone else.

Is the Armor Check Penalty still doubled for the Swim skill in Pathfinder? I can find no reference to this in the rules. Just double checking that I'm not missing something.

As far as I can tell, no, you only apply the armor check penalty once.

I got a question for pathfinder too. I hear you get unlimited use of cantrips. Does that include Cure and Inflict Minor Wounds? Because that would turn them from extremely lame to moderately cool.
Also, does the unlimited use make turn them into Spell-like abilities? It would be pretty awesome to enter the Mortal Hunter prestige class with Inflict Minor Wounds, wouldn't it?

Cure Minor Wounds was removed from 0 level spell lists in Pathfinder. This was so you couldn't have infinite level of slow healing by taking 1 level in Cleric.

No, Inflict is also removed.

And it does not turn cantrips into spell-like abilities. They are still cast just like all other spells, they just take an insignificant amount of magical power.

Yes, but it makes it nearly impossible to sneak or have surprise. They both have a verbal component, this requires a "strong" voice.
Plus, casting a spell every minute will annoy your party since you can't do it while walking.

Well, but they're hardly for off-battle situations, I think it was just for the round that you have nothing better to cast.

Tome of Battle Material: Can you activate most strikes while using ranged weapons? I can't find text that says otherwise.

I assume if it doesn't say otherwise it's OK (or DM whim) powers have ranges like spells, some are keyed to certain action i.e: melee attack or charge etc. I only had time for a quick look through though.
