The Library of Korranberg

In Korranberg, Zilargo's southeastern-most port city, there lies a library unlike any the world over. The Library of Korranberg is the single greatest repository of knowledge on the continent of Khorvaire- and perhaps the globe. Although its primary purpose is to serve as resource to scholars and explorers alike, it does occasionally fund expeditions...

GMHere, amongst piles of dusty old tomes and piles of scrolls, you can find all sorts of character creation and conversion information... if you know where to look.

Character GuidelinesPathfinder 20 point-buy for Ability Scores.

You will begin the adventure at Level 3.

Max HP at Level 1, roll for subsequent levels, re-rolling less than half. It might look weird, but trust me, they're correct.(1d6rl2, 1d8rl3, 1d10rl4, 1d12rl5)

3,000 gp, the maximum wealth for Level 3.

We will be using the rules for Hero Points! Each character will begin the adventure with 1, modified by any applicable feats or bonuses. I will award more for great posts and significant milestones.

Each character will be allowed three Traits, re-flavored to suit your character. The first is your choice, the second must be related to your nation or culture of origin, and the third will be a unique trait that we create especially for your character.

Don't forget your Favored Class Bonuses! (+1 HP or +1 Skill rank for every level you attain in your favored class.)


Accepted MaterialsAll Paizo Core, Base, Alternate, and Hybrid classes allowed with the exception of gunslingers.

Psionics Unleashed is allowed for the Kalashtar, Half-Giant, Daelkyr Half-Bloods... all others on a case-by-case basis.psionic races.

Eberron 3.5 races will be allowed as listed in 3.5 with obvious skill conversions! I'm not looking to re-create the wheel, here!Other changes will be minimal.

I consider Hobgoblins to be a "core" race of Eberron.

Artificer will be a profession rather than a class, predominantly made up of specialty mages and alchemists.

The Dragon BetweenAccording to myth, three mighty dragons made the world. These were the first dragons: Khyber, Siberys, and Eberron. They were the most powerful of all dragons and they lived in harmony until they discovered the mysterious Prophecy.

The evil Khyber fought the others to seize control of the Prophecy. Noble Siberys was torn to pieces and became the Dragon Above, a ring of glowing shards that circles the world. Eberron wrapped herself around Khyber and bound him in her coils. Khyber became the Dragon Below, a monster-filled maze of caves that fills the planet.

The last of the dragons became the surface world. She gave birth to all natural things. This is Eberron, the Dragon Between.

The Dragonmarked HousesHouse Cannith consists of humans with the Mark of Making, which makes them the undisputed masters of artifice. Their house has a near-monopoly on finely crafted goods across Khorvaire, giving them incredible power and sway.

House Deneith is made of humans with the Mark of Sentinel. They are the oldest of the dragonmarked houses and are known for their levelheadedness and prowess in combat. They served the Kingdom of Galifar for centuries with honor and nobility, and their word is like a sworn oath. In modern times, they serve as highly trained mercenaries, law enforcement, and bounty hunters.

House Gallanda is a family of halflings who bear the Mark of Hospitality. A warm fire, a hot meal, a cool drink, and a soft bed are their trade. They are the gold standard of the hospitality industry and many of the best innkeepers, chefs, and restaurateurs are members of the Hostelers Guild. They also have the reputation for being able to find the right person to contact for any occasion.

House Jorasco, a family of halflings with the Mark of Healing, tends to medical needs of the Five Nations. They provide everything from simple binding of wounds and magical healing, to salves that fight infection and wands that cure diseases... for those who can afford it. Some may call them draconian for their refusal to use their talents to heal the sick and injured for free, but given the war-torn land, the demand for medical services is nigh-insatiable and the money they make ensures that there will always be a Jorasco healer nearby. Their business practices aside, House Jorasco saved many lives during the Last War, at great personal risk.

House Kundarak is a clan of dwarves who run the largest banking and safekeeping system Eberron has ever known. Their vaults are impenetrable and when someone needs a large sum of cash, a powerful magic item, or even a priceless keepsake, they may draw it from any of their banks located across the world. They also issue letters of credit and can honor such letters of any size at any location on demand. Their wards make an impassable wall of protection which keep the riches of the nobility and other dragonmarked houses secure.

House Lyrandar is a family of "Half-elves" though they are never called this in Eberron.khoravar, a long-running line of immigrants and refugees which came to Khorvaire long ago. They are masters of wind and water, commanding the forces of nature itself with their Mark of Storms. Their Raincallers Guild provides weather-manipulation for agriculture and curbing of natural forces, while their Windwrights Guild dominates the shipping trade of Khorvaire with their elemental galleons and airships.

House Medani, khoravar with the Mark of Detection, is one of the smallest and youngest of the dragonmarked houses. Despite this, their operatives are everywhere, serving serving as guards, researchers, advisers, inquisitives, and spy-catchers. The Warning Guild is the premier counterintelligence agency in the Five Nations. A common adage is that you hire Deneith when you expect an attack, but you hire Medani to stop a threat before it occurs.

House Orien is a human family with the Mark of Passage. This mark, which grants them various magical benefits which enhance travel and even teleportation, allows the family to excel in courier services and land-based transport. In addition to the Couriers Guild's delivering letters and small parcels, their Transportation Guild also operates the lightning rail and employs tens of thousands of employees to maintain the trade roads which cross Khorvaire.

House Phiarlan and House Thuranni are elven dragonmarked houses comprised of bards, actors, artists, and acrobats... though they are also secretly a house of spies. The Mark of Shadow is the oldest living dragonmark and gives them access to powers of divination and mastery over illusions. House Phiarlan is larger and stronger when it comes to spying, but House Thuranni is umatched when it comes to assassinations.

House Sivis is a gnome dragonmarked house which bears the Mark of Scribing. This mark grants them various powers over written and verbal communication. Through the auspices of Sivis, one can communicate with another across Khorvaire almost instantaneously. House Sivis members also act as translators for diplomats and dignitaries.

House Tharashk, half-orcs and humans with the Mark of Finding, produces some of the finest bounty hunters in Khorvaire. For brute strength, indomitable spirit, and the ability to find anyone or anything, no one matches House Tharashk.

House Vadalis is a family of human beastmasters with the Mark of Handling. This mark grants them the ability to calm and control animals. They have turned their gift into a booming trade by providing magebred animals: everything from mounts to guards and pets. No animal in Khorvaire can outpace a magebred horse, and nothing in the Last War could match the devastating ferocity of Breland's Bear Cavalry.
