Hmm, I think Aisha's predictions are more about what someone might do, less about what they may think. One would think that a human decides what they will do based on their thinking and that predicting the former should include predicting the latter, but I envision it as Aisha's "oracles" being a lot more holistic than understanding the entire causality behind any particular outcome that she predicts.

Does that makes sense?

She probably is fairly good about reverse engineering her predictions and estimating the causes for them though. I think it's just not a guarantee. But either way, I want Aisha to be good at profiling, but not to the point of mindreading.

I think most of Agni's considerations match Aisha's own. I think she is probably unconcerned about whether Agni shares them, at least at the moment. But thanks for helping me set things up once I do opt into fleshing out that part of Aisha's abilities.

@Hotsu: in the spirit of playtesting (ie poking at the edges of your system), I've got a question. My motive grants energy if I press for answers when it's foolhardy. Tou will hopefully never be a more foolish jaunter than he currently is. But... we haven't spent any energy yet, so I'm guessing that there is no mechanical advantage to acting on my Faith motive right now. Is that correct? (And if the rules don't say something like "you can't use your moves/motives to go above your max energy", should they?)

I'm not sure if I actually DO want to press right now, since half the group hasn't posted yet. But thinking about it led me to this question.

I think in this instance I wouldn't lose anything if you posted again. Aisha naturally goes silent when other people are looking like they are going to talk. She definitely has a bad habit like that, so my slow response can totally be in character.

It's a good question, and currently, there's no mechanical benefit aside from doing so for the fun of it. There was once a separate reservoir for Energy gained from motives, but I streamlined it. Unfortunately there's no going over your max Energy in the current rules.

Make sense, otherwise the "max" wouldn't be much of a max and would lose significance overall.

Well, at one point I wanted to render it more like Momentum from Ironsworn, but it never felt right. I love fluid trackers.

Just a quick FYI: I'm going on a family trip from Friday to the following Wednesday. I don't expect to be able to make game posts over that time (and maybe a day or two after, as we get home life back on track). This probably won't impact this game, but if a GM post goes up in the next day or two, and we want to keep a weekly pace, I might miss the next wave of posts. Please feel free to advance the game without my contribution, if that ends up happening.

I still may or may not pursue my foolish question in game before I take flight IRL; I want to think about it a bit more.

I'm glad that I'm back in the saddle and I enjoyed writing that post. I know it doesn't at all achieve anything in regard to moving the action forward, but I already liked where this is going, and so did Aisha as well.

I imagine Aisha's docility could end up feeling a bit undesirable from the perspective of the other players. I'll try not to let it get out of hand.

I probably should have added a paragraph to describe that Aisha indeed registered how offensive Christophe is being. She deliberately chose not to acknowledge it. I think it would be fair for Tou to feel slighted by that. Christophe really is a jerk, and Aisha's smile is definitely not dissuading him.
