Name: The Sunflower Girl
Race: Elf
Class: Druid 5 (OOTS Fey Varient. Only difference is Charisma is swapped for Wisdom for determining spellcasting)
Alignment: NG

Personality- The Sunflower Girl is cheerful, kind, and utterly naive about the greater world around her. She find humanoids confusing and serious, preferring the company of fey, with their playful nature.

History: The Sunflower Girl, also called Sunflower by the locals, also know by her fey name Ne'ti'ni'hi, or her elven name Netini, was born inside a sunflower beneath the noonday sun in The Blooming Valley of the Tangled Grove. She was adopted and raised by a wood nymph and a treant, and her friends were all satrys and pixies and other fey creatures of the forrest. It is said that wherever she walks, flowers bloom.

Sunflower explored her home deeply as she grew. The Tangled Wood is a massive forrest seeping with Fey Magic, surrounded on all side by settlements and towns. The Tangled Grove is rumored to be an outcropping of the Faerie realm, and is known to be both magical and dangerous. All manner of adventurers, both good and evil, have ventured into the dangerous forrest from time to time to steal its magic and its secrets. Over time, The Sunflower Girl came to be known as a gentle protector of her woodland realm, repelling invaders and nursing the plants, animals, and fey creatures to health and strength.

In her 18th summer, Sunflower encountered a class of druids studying near her grove. She was intrigued, even if everything they were saying was absolutely wrong. She welcomed them to her home, and began to study with them. While her teacher explained that connection to nature comes from wisdom and stoicism, Sunflower drew her power from playfulness and love.

As her power grew, Sunflower began to grow restless. Her mother and father, the nymph and treant, assured her that the Tangled Wood had been strengthened enough by her presence that it could ward off all threats. They gave her their blessing to depart and begin her life of adventure.

The day that she left, the Tangled Wood and all its creatures wept for her. Before she took her first step out of her home though, a giant sunflower a hundred feet tall grew from the ground. When it blossomed, it had within it a great gift.

The Dyrads Song.

It is not until The Sunflower Girl begins her journey that she realizes she has spent her entire life in her Divine Realm, a realm overlapping with a forrest on the Material Plane.

Artifact- The Dryads Song.

The Dryads Song is an artifact made to be used only within a specific forrest. I'm requesting it be houseruled to work anywhere.

 

The gleaming, gold scepter bears elegant boughs and leaves, blooming into a miniature, flowered treetop at one end. The scepter’s rod has four slots, onto which four large rings can be slotted.

EFFECTS

Each ring is engraved with a phrase in Sylvan, and can be placed upon or removed from the scepter as a standard action.

Ring 1: “Daughters of the green.”
Ring 2: “Hear my ardent call.”
Ring 3: “Discharge now to oaths long sworn.”
Ring 4: “For glory, live or fall.”
Dryad’s Song grants anyone holding it a +5 morale bonus on all Diplomacy and Intimidate skill checks against fey. Dryad’s Song allows its wielder to cast diminish plants, entangle, plant growth, and wood shape at will. Up to three times each day, by reciting the poem on its rings as a full-round action, Dryad’s Song allows its wielder to either summon 40 HD worth of dryads, nymphs, and satyrs, or allows its wielder and up to 19 additional Medium or smaller creatures to teleport to any forrest. Summoned fey remain for 20 hours, can be dismissed at will, and are not obligated to obey the wielder’s command; dryads summoned by Dryad’s Song lose their tree dependence weakness while they serve on the wielder’s behalf. Unlike the corrupted version of the artifact, the fully restored Dryad’s Song grants access to its magic whether its various rings are slotted into the scepter or not. Just like the corrupted version, Dryad’s Song can purge the Darkblight from a living creature within 60 feet as a full-round action.

A ring from the scepter may be gifted to another person. The ring can be worn as a bracelet or on a necklace (occupying the appropriate magic item slot), and grants a +3 resistance bonus on its wearer’s saving throws. Once per day, the ring can be used to contact the wielder of Dryad’s Song via sending.

DESTRUCTION

Dryad’s Song crumbles into ash if it is wholly submerged in a mixture of blood and a traitor’s tears of regret.

So any new players would have standard gold and be level 8.
