[PF-1e] Champions of Mythros

Yo, I'm late, but quite interested still. Just wondering though, what level do you expect this game to lead up to? 'Cause right now I'm getting as long as possible vibes here.

Bit rushed, but ultimately, I'm satisfied with Aku'a. Mark her as complete!

Aku'amo'opi Name: Aku'amo'opi Starsea, but commonly goes by Aku'a Class: Oracle (Lich curse, Dragon Mystery) Race: Tiefling Appearance: Unlike what one might expect for her race, Aku'a is very easy on the eyes. Her skin is perhaps a touch more pink than one would expect for a human or half elf, which shes often tries to pass for when her disguise wouldn't suffice. Her face is on the verge of being called "gaunt", but the look in her radiant amber eyes tends to succeed in making it come across as "sculpted". If not her eyes then her high cheekbones would've earned her the same appeal. Centrally located on this "sculpted" face sits a dainty nose and somewhat prominent lips painted some dark shade of red so as to make her face seem paler in comparison. The tiefling makes an effort to look beautiful, it tends to ease suspicions around her. To this end she'll often accesorise with scarves and necklaces. Beyond that however, Aku'a's clothing is based mostly on what she can afford and what is practical. There are definitely preferences though, The oracle will seldom leave a place without a cloak or cape of some kind. When surrounded by strangers that hood is often up and sometimes accesorised with a mask which she passes off as a divine symbol. Other times, she tends to show just a bit more skin than one would normally do, to overcompensate for her otherwise shy dressing customs. In all honesty though, Aku'a very much appreciates any chance to go without her cape, and when out on the roads alone or with trusted allies, it's often relegated to a cape. Despite the cloak and dagger that accompanies her everyday life, Aku'a doesn't look like the skittish type. She stands upright and is quite animated. The tiefling doesn't quite walk, but rather tends to saunter or bounce. Personality Aku'a doesn't quite like to talk about her past, but then again, very few people with a history like hers would. But that's not all there is to her. In fact she's quite friendly and likes to take time to get to know her contacts. She's not all business, and sometimes enjoys sharing stories over a heart, but still would prefer to spend a night with the townsguard over spending a night hearing out the peasants stories of harvesting and their menial labour. Being a sellsword isn't all there is to Aku'a, she's much too imbued with both draconic and demonic ambition. Generally the oracle hopes to redeem herself, she curses herself and other people for making stupid decisions and tends to point out when she sees them being made. In this regard Aku'a might come across as a know-it-all or a being driven more by logic. But anyone paying close enough attention would spot the hipocrisy behind it. She aims to grow, and eventually take revenge on the commander who attempted to murder her and enslaved her clan. Background: Aku'a's story starts in the village she grew up in, and the story of that village starts with a dragon floating through the astral sea. The dragon, ageless and immortal spent it's centuries drifting through the aether, celebrating rising empires and weeping for the fallen. As a dragon, over time the beast grew covetous. The creature wanted a kingdom to call his own. And so he selected a fledgeling empite, which greatly benefitted from the ageless wisdom the dragon had to offer. But like all great kingdoms it'd fall eventually. Attempting to save as much of his hoard as possible, the dragon made a pact with a demon. He'd be taught the magic to salvage his wisemen and workers in return for the souls of his fallen once he were done with them. Ages passed again, but not quietly, the dragon was now hunted by the forces of good and eventually brought down on the prime material. The dragon's kingdom however wasn't eliminated completely, only diminished. Aku'a was part of the first generation to be born on the prime material. The village she grew up in was all that remained of the once great starsea empire, but their people held onto the pride that being a part of it brought. Their guardian deity was given no clean burial. Its cadavre was treated as the being's last blessing. The creature's radiant scales and ivory bones were used to construct the tents and camps that Aku'a grew up in. They were self-sufficent, to a degree. Hunt as they might in these new lands, most of their food came from the dragon still. When they gathered, as many died as lived eating these new alien fruits and greenery. Aku'a saw where their clan was heading, and waged her own life for her clan. She wandered off as a child full of youthful optimism to find aid and tie their village to more familiar locals. She wanted to announce to the world that they were here. The young Starsea voyager found villages, and was pointed to cities. When she found cities she offered aid eventually. Aku'a found a local lord promising to supplies, in exchange for their dragon's skull. It was a deal she didn't want to make, but it was all young Aku'a had to offer. And so it came to be that Aku'a lead a small army to her encampment. The caravan stored food and water, yes, but it'd turn out it carried mostly arms and armor. For a single night the remnants of the starsea clan feasted, but that night all the new aliens were captured. You see, Aku'a's bloodline had been influenced by demonic magic for centuries by this time, to the point their appearance unnerved most villagers. A whole village of theirs however inspired fear. And fear invited conflict, and sometimes even genocide. The adults in the village were clasped in irons to be put to work. The children however were too expensive to raise. At the helm of the campaign stood a cruel but pious man, he ordered the children flogged, flayed, and half-buried in the desecrated corpse of their "nation's" guardian. In most scenarios this'd be a death sentence. The captain didn't know however that the dragon had magic left in it's blood still. Magic bound to keep his empire safe. The children wouldn't die, but for years they were asleep. Comatose in their guardian. It took years for their broken bodies to be restored by the dying dragon's magic but eventually the children woke again. Their years of slumber passed like a shared dream, it wasn't hard for Aku'a to work out her fate. She'd be murdered as pennance for a years-old crime if she stayed. And so Aku'a left the village she grew up in. It was difficult to live on her own, but this wasn't her first outing and she'd learned now. Much less xenophobic and much more experienced than her kinsmen, a personal exodus wasn't quite the death sentence it was for the rest of the starsea. And so Aku'a started to draw a map of all the places she'd been. She lived beneath a cloak and behind a mask and wielded lies like most wield knives to survive. But mostly she survived and grew and learned. There was one thing Aku'a never grew past: a healthy amount of hatred towards the commander that ordered the execution of her entire country.

Uhm, I have something to say...

I usually get really hyped about my characters after I make them, and when I don't I usually lose interest in playing them quite quickly.

Aaaaand...

I'm not quite hyped to play Aku'a. So I think I'd better take my name back out of the hat before I risk taking up a spot that would've better gone to someone else.

Alright @Sirviantis hope you the best of luck when you apply to another game that's advertised on here. Thank you @taleteller, thought about doing something like that on my original ad post, though wanted to be bit different and not follow the pack/trend like all the other DMs/GMs do on here. I know its best for those who've applied and wants to know about whom applied with which character an such. Though thank you for doing that none the less.

Even though there is a lack of them. I am glad for one that there wasn't any gully dwarves, sorry don't care much for them :P lol. Plus they don't really much exist with in my world so they would be the only one with in the whole worlds setting. So they'd be really really lonely lol. Even though I would allow tinker (mad) gnomes to an extent. Do to the fact they seem to be in most of the established settings in some form or another. Like I've said I prefer Forgotten Realms over Dragonlance any day. Though I do admit there has been a few good books set with in Kyrnn. But there are slightly better ones set in Faerûn and way more famous characters too that are least far more memorable to me, at least. That I know of and can think of off the top of my head, with out looking them up lol :P. Anyways, though I'm more surprised that there wasn't those that applied or anyone else who went with one of the other races that are listed with in the ad that are allowed for play as well other then the core races, besides of course Sirviantis' with his app before pulling out.

hello I'm not new but I am new to pathfinder. just got the pf1 e core rules today. and imveros gave me a link to a extension. of all th of games I've seen on here this is the only one in a forgotten realms like setting rather than wild west or sci fi that I have found. idk if you are doing more recruiting. but if you are I was hoping to build a cat folk samurai from lv1 to what ever your game gets him to. ty for any consideration.
