You mentioned only core races and classes; what about alternate racial traits, archtypes, feats, spells, equipment, etc.?

WIP
Race: Half-Elf Class: Fighter Appearance and Personality: If not for his pointed ears, the brute sitting before the campfire might have been able to pass off his elvish heritage. Elzix looked like a pure-blooded human that had spent his life working in the mines beneath the Barrier Wall Mountains. His body was covered in the scars that a slave often inherited from a cruel master. He also had the same style of tattoos that were fashionable among the nomads of Katapesh. He held a bowel of rabbit stew in one enormous hand, ladling its contents into his giant mouth. Background: Sold into slavery as a child, Elzix was owned by a cruel merchant by the name of Kaelan. Serving his master well into adolescence, Elzix attempted to escape numerous times. Each failed attempt at escape earned him a firm beating at the hands of his master. During one such beating, Elzix suffered a broken leg that never healed correctly, leaving the slave with a permanent limp. One night, Elzix entered the bedchamber of his master, using a pillow to suffocate the merchant in his sleep. Escaping into the desert, Elzix survived for awhile off what little resources the land had to offer. He eventually resorted to ambushing trade caravans that had insufficient protection, making off with what provisions he could carry on his person. This lifestyle suited him well, earning him an unsavory reputation among the sands of Katapesh. Last edited by Stormhammer; Jan 13th, 2014 at 04:41 PM. |

By 'Core' do you mean all Paizo, or only those in the original book?

This game. I like it.
PIG, just know I am coming for you. Question: how Core are we talking? Oracle jumped out at me, but so did Monk, so I'm curious. (Ranger is also an option, as is Sorcerer)

Interested. I am thinking about a sorcerer who uses a lot of wind based magic to whip up the sand into impromptu mini sandstorms.

Q (zaarbuc): You mentioned only core races and classes; what about alternate racial traits, archtypes, feats, spells, equipment, etc.?
A: I am allowing anything within the Core Rulebook and Advanced Player's Guide in the beginning of this module. As the module progresses and the Path continues into the next modules (time willing over the years) we'll explore newer, bigger options from across Paizo. Q (Moridain): By 'Core' do you mean all Paizo, or only those in the original book? A: Core/Core Archtype (Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard) and Base (Alchemist, Cavalier, Inquisitor, Oracle, Summoner, Witch) Classes are all allowed Q (Sass): how Core are we talking? Oracle jumped out at me, but so did Monk, so I'm curious. A: As above, Oracle will be fine as with the others. * All clarifications are editing in green above DM NOTE: Do not forget that you are starting out as a 1st level character. Everyone wants to play the badass but at this point you are more for the match of common bandits and low level monsters. Someone more capable and skilled than the average person, yet still just starting off on their potential. Just something to keep in mind when creating your character. DM NOTE: The deadline is in two weeks so don't break your neck trying to complete the application. After the deadline I'll carefully choose my players according to quality, not sequence. Duly noted. I'm going to read up on a couple of classes and take a little more time with my app, if it's okay. I'm getting excited about my idea, though, and I'm getting a good feeling about this game. Spent a good portion of last night just listening to music that would sum up the character.

My concept is officially a Warrior of the Holy Light Paladin of Sarenrae. Human, too. Just getting that out there.

Yeah...
Dual scimitar wielding drow named Drattz coming right up. I've actually got an idea for a slightly insane halfling, definitely not a kender. Not sure if he'll be a rogue, ranger or barbarian. Last edited by Squeak; Jan 14th, 2014 at 03:50 PM. |
