There are so many good apps here. I'm excited to see the outcome. I'll certainly be reading along if I'm not chosen :P

Agreed, this will be one to follow. Either way, I look forward to trying to figure out the various secrets.

Sarenrae
Perhaps the most pervasive faith in Katapesh is that of Sarenrae the Dawnflower. Although her faith is not traditionally Garundi, the people of Katapesh accept her, and she is commonly held as the savior of the people and the strongest force against the cruelty of slavery and heartless mercantilism. Sarenrae’s faithful are often at odds with the established rulers of Katapesh, which places her followers in the difficult position of choosing between their faith and patriotism. Sarenrae’s symbol is an angel with arms outstretched and wings raised to form the shape of an ankh. Her non-cleric worshipers are generally bards, fighters, rangers, and sorcerers. |

Is there a formal priesthood? I know often bards are priests of sarenrae.
Is it common knowledge that gnolls worship rovagug?

Virgo
Name: Virgo Race: Half-Elf (Dexterity) Class: Rogue Music *Just as a note, my music choice was a little tongue in cheek, but it really just floats my boat. The others all sat around, staring into the flames, chewing and sipping and otherwise silently contemplating the wonders of warming up. His leather clothes were warm enough, well fitting and a little padded, and his cloak lent him whatever warmth he lacked. Nevertheless, he felt for them. It could be said the warmth was the best thing to happen in a long time, so he had to give them that. "Though, perhaps, I can give them something a bit more..." Vergo rustled about in his bag for a moment, before withdrawing a small, whittled flute. Nothing overly fancy, but the burnished wood was obviously worn with use, and tended to with care. After a tentative inspection, to ensure nothing would interfere with the sound, he began a lilting, jaunty tune, an introduction to the world he would soon explore. "There was a time, you see, when the men you know of today were ever so much something else. Not always, the adventurer, not always the rogue. This is a tale of these times." A more colourful tune this time, although it spoke convincingly of darker things. "Vergallius the Bold, our humble hero, started his days working for the grand prince Zarhallan as a court bard. The prince was fond of story, and flute, and he always demanded the best. His prizes were more then his kingdom, for his true treasures were in his collections. The jewels of Sallamar, so glittering and beautiful they would shatter the heart of a mortal man and cause him to weep!" A hauntingly beautiful melody this time, that to any who may know of such things was matched by a tale of loss, and sadness, as a great king's failing memory robbed him of his wife, his daughters, and eventually himself. "Greatest among his collection though, were his dancers. They would twist in the wind, and dance among the minds of those watching, their eyes reflecting everything they hoped, they dreamed. Always, last to perform, never ordered but never asked, came Yula. Skin as pale as the waning moon, eyes that shone as to make the jewels of Sallamar weep, and a heart of gold so pure, it would buy the kingdom from beneath the prince." Here, he paused, head bowed, a man defeated by his past... "The prince did not love the woman, no, he loved the possession. A crime so great, slavery could not express it. To keep such a wonder for his own, selfish greed when she could make this earth a better place... A crime so great, our honoured hero must step to the fore. Though the guards were many, their spears sharp and armour thick, Vergallius could not stand idly by! Swift as a viper he flew, the guards could never hope to match the righteous speed of a man and his love!" As the fast, troubled tune passed the flute, hearts sped and thumped, straining to keep pace with the thundering charge of the music. "Eleven and three, he fought that day, when the men before him grew too many. The alarm raised, the beautiful Yula at his side, our hero had to admit defeat. He was dragged before the prince, though he was respected enough to be left clothed, and unbound, for on his honour he swore to do no more harm to them. The prince looked upon his fallen favourite and asked one thing. 'Why should you be left to your freedom?'" "The hero stared in the eyes of the prince, a thing that had not been done in many a year. The prince looked upon him, and he bore witness to the soul of a warrior, a fighter, a man of honour who did no thing but for love and righteousness. And with a wave, he ordered Vergallius armed and turned from the castle on pain of death, unharmed and unhampered, but never to see Yula again." The music was soft, drawing the group in close as the tale came to a sad, but honest end, before abruptly quircking up into a mischievous trill. "Yet, as the hero of our tale rode on, he smiled. There was but one thing the prince had never considered. What if the great man who left him alone with his gems so beautiful they could not be witnessed and his glorious dancers, had not left empty handed after all?" With a flourish, he presented a gem, small, and overall rather insignificant, but it was obviously a chip from a ruby of great size and fine cut. "Thusly was Virgo, the prince of thieves, freed unto the world again!"

Legion withdrew his application and I updated the screen. He had some time constraints due to his current games. A few other people have posted interest but got accepted to other games so they won't have time to play.
Which brings up the point. A lot of you are hunting for games (which is cool and power to ye) but if you get accepted in another game make sure to let me know that you might not have the time and can't play. I learned the hard way you can only play so many games until you get bogged down. If you can't post once a day for the most part (a day here and here off is okay, we all get busy) then please do not apply so that others can get that spot. I have a whole bunch of apps to go over and I don't want to choose someone who will drop out because of too many games. Thanks and game on! PIG |

When in doubt, use the word count
Looking forward to the rest of it too. I usually only read an app after it's fully done so that I get a full appreciation for the character, so I'll read it once it's done. Also helps me budget my time that way too. Enjoy that breakfast, dude. |

Great idea. I was already planning on following this game as a spectator if my PC doesn't make the group, and this makes it extra fun to do so.
