Only one thing. Change your combat flaw to: Combat Flaw: When I roll a natural 1 with a spell attack, I hit myself instead of an enemy. Makes a bit more sense with the way he died and won't be a great danger to other PC's. Nothing else needed. Last edited by BarrowB; Sep 6th, 2021 at 03:58 PM. |

Alright. I think I'm good! Let me know if you want anything added or have any questions. I should note I know -nothing- about this setting but from what I understand that's alright. It will probably make things more interesting for me.

Your application is very good, I hope to see Senic in one of the groups.
Yes, as I wrote before, knowing nothing about the setting is perfectly fine, maybe even a bit more fun. Players, who know the books/anime (mainly the books) will be able to dodge a bullet or two (if they decide to use player knowledge) or just recognise some obscure side character and treat them a bit differently (though, 10 years can change a person, so it may not always be wise to assume they are still the same). Though, author of this world didn't really go into too much detail about many things, so I hope to surprise even those, who are familiar with the established setting. |

Name: Lyle Cobblepot Race: Halfling (Lightfoot) Class: Fighter (BattleMaster) Background: Soldier
Additional combat flaw: Dislikes weapons commonly used only uses his trusty cleaver. (If forced to use any other weapon he has a -4 to hit). One skill with anti-proficiency: Animal Handling Animals tend to be very nervous around Lyle, maybe because he always wants to find new ways of cooking them. (disadvantage on any animal handling checks) Appearance: Lyle is pretty average for his kind. He is only three feet tall and a bit overweight due to his sampling everything he cooks or anyone else does for that matter. He had reddish brown hair and large sideburns. His eyes are the color of emeralds and seem to sparkle in the firelight especially when he is cooking. HE always has his cooking utensils on him just in case they are needed, as well as his large cleaver. Personality: Lyle is outgoing and curious especially when it comes to cooking or preparing anything. he will go out of his way to learn a new recipe or create a new dish. When around other cooks he is in his happy place learning new dishes from others as well as sharing his own. He is very focused when it comes to preparing a dish and while open to suggestions is offended if someone dislikes whatever it is he has prepared and will stoutly defend the dish. Of course he only serves his best to others. He is quick to make friends and slow to lose them, he is trusting of those he calls friend almost to a fault. Backstory: -The story (try to keep it short) Lyle never intended to be a soldier and truth be told he wasn't all that good at it. Still he had little choice being pushed into service. He hated the basic training they gave him and he was quite terrible at wielding anything other than his cleaver. As a result he was stationed as a cook staying in the camp and preparing meals for those who did the fighting. Many of the others in basic training with him thought he was about useless as a soldier, but once he started cooking for them came around, finally seeing what he actually was good at. Even with the limited ingredients available being on the move Lyle always thought of a creative way to add flavor to his dishes and among his company was well liked for his cooking, if nothing else. -How did you die? Lyle was killed during a battle as usual he remained in the rears of the company. Unfortunately his comrades failed to hold the line and the enemy broke through into the encampment. Lyle was busy preparing the meal at the time, and as the enemy moved in several horses panicked and tried to flee, the first kicked the stew pot over onto Lyle scalding him briefly before the second trampled him underfoot. -What deity sent you to the new world? (any pantheon) Yondalla -Why are you trying to be a hero? Why not, especially if it means I get to travel and learn new dishes from various places in the world. Not to mention his own fame will grow as a chef by sharing his dishes abroad. Last edited by JaredSyn; Sep 8th, 2021 at 10:41 PM. |

Name: Asha Race: Half Elf Class: Paladin, likely to multiclass into warlock 5e background: Acolyte (former cultist) Trait: I see omens in every event and action. The gods try to speak to us, we just need to listen. Trait: I misquote sacred texts and proverbs in almost every situation. Ideal: Faith. I trust that my deity will guide my actions. I have faith that if I work hard, things will go well. (Lawful) Ideal: Freedom. Chains are meant to be broken, as are those who would forge them. (Chaotic) Bond: I'm guilty of a terrible crime. I hope I can redeem myself for it. Bond: I died because of a mistake I made. That will never happen again. Flaw: Once I pick a goal, I become obsessed with it to the detriment of everything else in my life. Flaw: I couldn't hide my emotions and opinions even if I wanted to. Additional personality flaw: Asha can easily lose sight of the reason why she’s doing something in her fervor to get it done, often to the point of defeating the original purpose. Additional combat flaw: After each time she rolls initiative, she has disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws until she has spent an action chanting/yelling praises. One skill with anti-proficiency: Insight. She is possibly the worst judge of character you will find. Appearance: Asha has angular features, reflecting her elven heritage, but only small points to her ears rather than the long ears of a full elf. She has brown hair and eyes, and usually a crazed gleam in her eyes. Personality: Asha is well intentioned, but seriously lacking in judgement. She is generally cheerful, and dives into whatever she is doing with manic energy and focus. While she has significant insecurities about herself, she covers them up with bravado and an absolute faith in an outside power, which at the moment is the goddess Isis. Backstory: Asha was raised among elves, but shunned by them for being half human. She found solace in the Cult of Howling Hatred, serving them with fanatic devotion right up until they decided she would make a good ritual sacrifice. She told them she wasn’t really comfortable with that and that she thought her skills would be more useful in other ways, and they told her that it wasn’t really optional. A failed escape and a ritual sacrifice later, Asha’s soul was floating through the void, where it was found by Isis, goddess of healing, motherhood, and magic, who decided to show mercy to the lost soul. Isis told Asha to use the new life she was granting her to make a difference in a good way and make up for what she did in her first lifetime. After hearing Asha mumbling to herself about summoning and fixing the sacrifice part of ritual sacrifice, Isis corrected that to much more clear and specific instructions about helping people in ways that weren’t being used for evil. Name: Amadeus Satu Race: Forest Gnome Class: Wild Magic Sorcerer 5e background: Acolyte of Zagreus *Traits: Nothing can shake my optimistic attitude. I idolize a particular hero of my faith, and constantly refer to that person’s deeds and example. *Ideal: Aspiration. I seek to prove myself worthy of my god’s favor by matching my actions against his teachings. (Any) *Bond: Everything I do is for... ahem... *Flaw: Sucker for a pretty face. Additional personality flaw: The idea that there's an inappropriate time and place to flirt doesn't occur to me. Additional combat flaw: Horny Hesitation: Amadeus takes -4 initiative scoping out the battlefield for women in the area, and has disadvantage on any attack roll against females, regardless of race. That's not how he wants to smash. One skill with anti-proficiency Acrobatics; as a consequence of his death, he gets phantom pain in his legs when he tries to do acrobatic feats. Possible Magic Items: A smooth, gray stone that feels like a friend. When you throw it, it will find its way back to your pocket the next time you reach for it. On a hit, the target takes bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. If you place it on the ground, it will stay there.Pet Rock, This is actually an ordinary ring. Curse. This ring is cursed, a fact that is revealed only when an identify spell is cast on the ring. Attuning to the ring curses you until you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic; removing the ring fails to end the curse. While cursed, you fully and utterly believe that the ring is a Ring of Invisibility, and thinks he or she can turn invisible. Any attempt to convince the creature otherwise fails.Totally a Magic Ring, You Guys, The recipient of an attack from this weapon has a 25% chance to be teleported up to 10' away from the wielder. Proficiency with light crossbows allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.Mildly Inconvenient Crossbow Appearance: Amadeus, Deus for short, is a three and half foot tall, dark-haired gnome. He considers himself roguishly handsome, and exudes confidence and assurance to the point of sometimes convincing people that he knows more or is more competent than he is. Personality: Raised in the cult of Zeus Hyes the Fertilizer, called the Jovian Faith, he considers the procreative act to be an act of worship in the same way that the cult of Hypnos considers sleeping to be worship. Of course, being devout is easy. Deus is affable, empathetic, and ever optimistic.
