That's basically why I like it. I actually hated the class prior to me recontextualizing it as a gambler.

I tend to dislike chaos classes like that, as they add extra tedious mechanics to have to deal with.

Also, at 10th level (technically at 9th level), you have 10d6, meaning you have a much better chance to roll what you want. And you get a bunch of different ways to determine when you roll (I personally like the one that lets you roll dice when you concentrate on a sphere effect, or the one that lets you roll when you reduce a creature to 0 HP).
Really, the Tactical Innovator is ideal for this game, since so many Models give bonuses to combat abilities. |

I thought about playing a THeroist in a different game, as its Guile + Casting. |

@Mundayknight: Looks like your character will be essentially identical to mine in terms of battle tactics, lol
We both use a whip in a large (or larger) creature to control the battlefield, tripping mooks and punishing them for falling on their butt. I went about it in a slightly different way, but we will be twins, lol

Minor note to all applicants, while I may appreciate interesting mechanics I care more about a good character than finding a good party composition. (IE: Tank, Healer, Mage, Skill Monkey, ect.....).

Update: It was brought to my attention that my deadline time was off. I originally put 12:00am Friday, November 29th. I actually meant to put Friday November 29th -- 11:59pm Central Standard US time.

Posting Interest! Been lurking the last couple of days working on a character in my head so I just need to get everything typed out!
Crossword Rolls (From dice Thread)
Comeliness 19 or 2 Bolded Underlined Statline becomes: Str 16 Dex 18 Con 14 Int 15 Wis 14 Cha 15 and Com 19 Name: Great Hunter Rhoha Race: Tiefling Classes: Armorist Archetype(s): Living Weapon Alignment: LN Primary Party Roles: Tank, Damage Dealer (Melee), Sub Healer Character Sheet: WIP Home Kingdom: Baalreisan Campaign Trait: Pride of the Kingdom Picture: Physical Description: Rhoha is a physically impressive man. Standing at just over 6 and a half feet tall with corded muscle, it is obvious at a glance that Rhoha has thoroughly trained his body. With a tanned complexion that speaks of many hours spent outdoors, and a number of scars that adorn his body, Rhoha might be confused for a bandit. Indeed if Rhoha wasn't so disciplined with his grooming regimen, he would look as a wild beast. As it is, Rhoha is almost always clean shaven and his hair (assuming he was unable to partake of a barber while out in the wild west) was at the very least roughly chopped to above the ears. Rhoha's glowing amber eyes (a side effect of his magic awakening) are as disturbing as they are arresting. In all, Rhoha's features and appearance strike a balance between wildness and civility, masculinity and grace. Personality: Rhoha is a prideful person. He has pride in himself. His accomplishments and prowess. He also has Pride in his nation. Rhoha is always ready to boast of his deeds, and any who doubt his deeds are welcome to a first hand demonstration. Rhoha would go to great lengths to maintain his reputation and defend the honor of his homeland. Possibly the quality about himself Rhoha takes the most pride in is his independence and self-sufficiency. With his magic, Rhoha can ignore armor and weapons which can fail him. When his flesh becomes weak or broken, his magic can renew his ability to fight. Yet even without his magic, Rhoha is not a combatant to be ignored. This can make Rhoha disdain pure casters who crumble without a shield wall before them. Even seasoned warriors who falter in the face of magic can earn Rhoha’s ire. Rhoha’s greatest ambition is to stand among Baalreisan’s elite fighters the Paradigm Knights. Even if it means living a life of anonymity. Backstory: Born an orphan, Rhoha depended on state assistance for the start of his life. By the time he was 7 he trained daily to strengthen his body and by 12 he was doing odd jobs around Vlastheim to help out the orphanage. When his magic awakened at age 14, the Orphanage director Vanard Claus made sure he had the education needed to understand and utilize his magic. Even teaching him Zaivex and obtaining books on magic straight from Soul Terra. Rhoha’s self-study on magic continued during his 2 years of military service after he reached adulthood at 15. While training with weapons and armor was novel for Rhoha, his interest and his talents lied in hand to hand combat. Rhoha enjoyed the order and training military life provides, but grew bored with the lack of combat engagements. Most duties were patrol or guard related during Rhoha’s service and what few combats there were involved Rhoha’s unit outnumbering their foe by a comfortable margin. Seeking greater challenges, Rhoha declined to extend his service and sought out the Cross Fang monster hunter’s guild. Rhoha thrived amidst the guild. Learning how to live off the land, identify and track monsters. Even refining his fighting style into being a devastating Juggernaut. By 19 years of age Rhoha was pulling down monster contracts solo. Delving deep into the wilderness of Roah, Rhoha protected the frontier towns of Baalreisan and earning a name for himself out west. Now at 24 and at the prime of his strength, Rhoha receives a letter which sends him back to Vlastheim and the ‘Great Forge’ where legends are made. They chased you down and cornered you in the capital city of Vlastheim. In your desperation to escape the law you discovered a legal loophole within the rules of the Parabellum games. The long and short of it is combatants in the Parabellum games have diplomatic immunity while on arena grounds and any attempt at extraditing criminals must wait until the completion of the games. With no choice, you quickly signed up for the games and your pursuers were indeed halted for a time by Baalreisan authorities; however, should you be caught outside arena grounds you will be arrested on the spot. Now you must not only plan your escape but survive the games in the meantime. Benefit: Your extended stay on the arena ground has granted you certain after hours access normal visitors are not allowed. With a bit of subtly you are able to slip in and out of the arena's restricted areas to gain an advantage on your upcoming fights. The week before each of your fights, choose round 1, 2, or 3 and then roll a special Stealth check to gather information. The later the round the higher the base DC. On success you learn the name of at least one type of monster you will be fighting in that round. For every 5 by which you exceed the DC you learn one additional monster name and type that you will be fighting. If no more monster types are present in the round, you learn one strength or weakness of one of the monsters chosen randomly. If you fail this check by 10 or more you are caught by the arena attendants and held in isolation until your next match begins. In addition, future Stealth attempts have their DC's increased by 5.Hidden in Plain Site, Either through your lineage or your years spent in the magically saturated lands of Soul Terra you have developed an innate adeptness for wielding magical forces. Choose one school of magic, one sphere, or one elemental energy type. When casting spells or spell-like abilities of the chosen school, sphere, or energy type you gain a +1 trait bonus to your effective caster level or HD (Hit die in the case of class features which use hit die rather than caster level to calculate their ability effects).Born to Magic Character Sheet: (Still a WIP) Appearence Personality Background RP Scenario Monster Encounter

I made a minor change to Lucius' classes as follows:
Classes: Ecclesitheurge Sphere Cleric 1 / Incanter 6 / Swarmheart Wraith 3 This not only better fits the story, in that he started as a Priest, became a Conjuror and then nearly died, becoming a Swarmheart Wraith. This gave me more talents and Feats, which I used to become a better Support character.

Welp, I'm afraid I'm dropping out of the recruitment. Life has been busier than expected, and I haven't put enough time in to complete my character, I know I'm not going to get them finished before the deadline. |

Notice: Less than 48 hours left until the deadline! Remember, I do not require character sheets be completed. Only the fluff of your app and a monster encounter. Happy writing folks!
