Oh wow, that is a huge garden. Glancing left and right, he hardly notices the cold air as he turns to the western side of the house. It's dark out, but he can remedy that. As he reaches the corner of the house, he peers into the night and sees a filthy casual cultist standing before him. "Hark, a scrub!" "Hey, you!" Calls the drow, fortified by magic and casserole. He squints in the dark and points his rapier at the intruder in challenge with a snikt shwing noise. It does not occur to our hero that these people might recognize him. After all, he was born of these people and he looked a lot like his parents. He didn't really care at the moment as it had been nary a fortnight since he had stabbed somebody. He stares down the being and awaits a response. Last edited by Explosionguy; Jan 25th, 2014 at 03:57 AM. |

Angarato notices the front door of the house swings both in and out, therefore decided to push the front door open with all the force he can muster. If he is lucky, some poor cultist may take a door to the face! Once the door is pushed open, Angarato steps out and to the left, ready to engage the other cultist, hoping this will give Reynard a clear line of sight to the priest.

Thomas stalks off after Base, intending to provide support. He's not sure he really agree with this plan at all, but it seems pointless to let the drow boy die over it. As he does so he squeezes his sword ever so slightly, causing it to glint a bit more than it did before, as if it were freshly polished. Once still Thomas resembles a clothes statue standing next to the drow, for his stillness is that of rock.

Oddly, the plan comes together pretty well. Angarato manages to bash a cultist in the face, causing him to crumple to the ground. The priest and the other cultist in front of the house also fall to the ground asleep from Reynard's spell. Base manages to get the attention of the cultist on the side of the house, who draws out a short sword and holds it at the ready while yelling "Hey guys, they are over here!" There is only one cultist known that isn't in sight right now on the other side of the house. The one in front of Basementicus and Thomas doesn't seem to want to engage on his own, hoping instead that he'll have support from those on the other sides of the house.

Angarato applauds Reynard's magic saying,"Nice Work!, lets get some stuff to bound and gag these three while they are down"
Angarato looks in the door at Maggie, "Maggie, can the scrying bowl show you if the guy on the eastern side of the house is moving toward the front or back? or is he running away?" Angarato, worried about the house defenses, asks both Sergi and Maggie, "Anything we need to look out for outside while we tie these guys up?" Last edited by Angarato; Jan 26th, 2014 at 04:59 PM. "Base!" Thomas shouts, catching a glint of bird shape absence against the stars. "It's one of those Ravens." He comments, pointing to the sky. "That won't save you." He comments, returning to the cultist. "Run away now."

Basementicus observes the raven and weighs the consequences of what he is about to do. It's just a wee bird that can sap the strength of a man twice his size. What could possibly go wrong?
Hearing the lack of commitment in the words from the stoney man, the lean mean fightin' machine decides to take a more direct approach. He walks over to the dude in black robes. Dice Trip the wee man:

Eyes drawn to a shadow moving across the stars, Reynard notices the raven flying above. Briefly considering the obvious presence of the cult and mindful of all the warnings regarding these dangerous birds, he alerts his comrade to its presence, "Ware, Angarato! There's a raven above us."
Pointing at the raven, Reynard speaks a single harsh word of draconic, "Svent." that looses a glowing arrow at the bird. Dice Magic Missile:

You hear Maggie's voice from inside the house, "He's moving around toward the back dear!" As she says this Reynard's magic missile strikes the bird with perfect accuracy and it falls to the ground dead.
The man that Thomas tries to intimidate just does a mocking imitation of Thomas until Basementicus trips the cultist, causing him to fall into the flowers. This normally wouldn't be a problem, except the magically enhanced flowers release some pollen causing instant paralysis to the cultist, who goes ridged. OOC: For the most part the dice have been in your favor for this fight... Makes things less interesting. In the mean time, to those who are within 10 feet of the cultist who just got tripped a fort save DC 15 is required or you will also get paralyzed.

Angarato shouts to Thomas in draconic, "Vorq zara wux!", hopefully alerting him to the cultist approaching him and Basementicus from behind them.
Angarato quickly runs inside and grabs the rope from their supply bag, and cuts off several lengths of rope sufficient to tie the hands and legs of the cultist unconscious out front. He couldn't help but laugh at the misfortune of Basementicus he noticed in the scrying bowl. Quickly returning to the porch, Angarato scans the area between him and the porch for traps and tries to follow in the tracks of one of the guys already on the porch. Angarato says to Reynard, "Nice work on the Raven!, how about you watch my back while I tie these guys up?" Angarato moves to the priest and begins to ties him up... Unaware of Basementicus' impairment, Reynard looks to Maggie, "If it's not too much trouble, could you ask your garden to stand down? It doesn't seem like any more are coming." He steps out onto the porch and peers around the yard amazed and a little frightened by the ferocious vegetation. "Sure, Aang, I'll keep an eye out for you... wasn't there one more?" He queries.
Weaving signs and speaking words in Sylvan, Reynard summons four multicolored balls of light to illuminate the surroundings while watching the sides of the house for the last cultist to appear. |

Thomas whirls, not slashing as he turns so as not to cut down someone without identifying the target, but more than willing to cut into him if it is such a person.
