Does Daniel have a character sheet? Just guess-timating survival chances in the woods at night and if the proximity of a burnt undead beastie is an extra risk... Also beer, food and a bed are hard to pass up

Daneil's sheet is slowly being revealed as the group learns more about him :-)

As for beer and bed, that's up to you XD. It seems more logical to learn the way now, and then do the whole trip in the morning... but I didn't want to deny you lovely folks the possibility of a random encounter during the night quarter hehe.

Hmmm... Oniver does have some burning questions he'd like answered, but he also wouldn't fancy another night in a tent if he could have a couple drinks and a warm bed. My vote is to leave in the morning. Does Bethe absolutely need to show us the way, or would verbal directions suffice?

Besides... I don't like how 97mg is laughing. Gives me the willies.

Herb Collecting is open! Just a few edits to the intro. I've taken liberties and just zipped us to the little gardens.

Now that you know the way this far, you are welcome to bed down for the night back at the Inn, and leave in the Morning Quarter if you like.

I can fast-forward us any time, just let me know when you want the switch flicked to the morning, and enjoy some RP until then :-)

The decision would belong to the rest of the group I think. I can see myself working with an intermediary, pre-morning scene - either at the garden, or before going to sleep at the inn (or both). But I could also have Dan mix some retrospective thinking with journeying the next morning. The context would only change the way I relate thoughts to actions and perceptions of his surroundings. However... if we jump forward all the way to the actual meeting with the druid, or some kind of trying circumstance like fighting, the opportunity to bring forth Dan's inner experiences would be lost (or deferred - though in the future his thoughts and feelings would organize in a different way).

P.S. Anyway, we would continue in Chapter 3, Part 2, right? (Thinking now I could write a short reactions post in Part 1, regardless of everyone else's choice...)

Those dice rolls seem about right for my luck.

So if I understand the Push system right, I take 1 Empathy damage and I gain one WP?

Yup!

Important to note: 1s from Skill Dice don't cause damage, nor generate WP. To make this easier to parse, I usually separate them in the dice-roller. So if I had 5 Empathy and 3 Manipulation, I'd write the dice-tag as "5d6 3d6" and the results break down into two lines. Any bonuses from gear can be added in the same way (i.e. 5d6 3d6 1d6).

also 1's on Gear dice can degrade the gear too (using and repairing!)

I would like to stay another night in the Inn and use the day for exploring/finding a druid

Ok great, sounds like a wise plan :-) I'll let you all react in the Herb Collecting thread, maybe have a poke around, and then we'll go back to the Inn. You can RP some nighty night stuff there for as long as you need, and then we'll get journeying again in the morning.

Hi Aegis! I generally prefer one roll per post, just so the characters can explain and justify what they want to do IC. This system is also easy to "milk" for Willpower Points if making lots of rolls.

Hi Palliven!

1. With your SMITH ability you could totally try making a Hand Axe during any of the remaining quarters of the day! The iron will cost you 5 coppers. To borrow a forge, give me an Empathy / Manipulation roll and I'll let you know XD.

2. No worries at all. I'm sure you can find something to rune-up.

3. Shopping sounds fun!

So, if the group decides to spend the whole day getting ready, it might look something like:

Day Quarter = Smithing
Evening Quarter = Rune making
Night Quarter = Shopping
Morning Quarter = Sleeping
Day Quarter = Start Journey
