Polly Titchwillow 'Whoa, that's a lot of you, all at once!' Polly shouted in surprise, when more wolves bounded up the rocks towards her. 'Halas, tell your plants to get their act together!' Looking at each of the wolves in turn as they tried to circle her, her staff held before her to dissuade the animals, Polly weighed her options. Then, just when one of the wolves lowered its snout, preparing to lunge at her, Polly's staff lashed out against the wounded wolf. Unfortunately, the animal darted to the side, first evading the monk's weapon, then biting at it. Polly cursed inwardly, wriggling her staff free just before the other wolves got past their surprise. 'Uh, guys?' she tried, hoping to attract the others' attention. 'Little help, here?' Realizing she wasn't going to be able to kill the wolves quickly- or even thin out their numbers, Polly decided she needed to go for a more defensive approach. Breathing out, the Hexblood shifted her weight to her back leg, the toes of her left foot barely touching the rock so she could either withdraw or kick, as the circumstance might warrant. She held her staff diagonally in front of her, pulled close to her body. Her hands gripped the staff tightly, placed far apart so there was more room on her weapon with which to push back the wolves- or to lash out with either end of the staff. Standing there on top of the rock, Polly waited, serene and focused, daring the wolves to come closer.

Halas Fogbarrel "Halas, tell your plants to get their act together!" Polly had cried out as she was confronted by three of the horrid wolves. Little the bard could do about that, the spell was spent. It was only intended to slow down an assault, never to completely stall it. How long did one expect a plant to restrain a wolf? "Sorry, Polly but I think that spell has fulfilled its purpose!" If the creature you choose has an Intelligence of 3 or lower or doesn’t speak any language, the creature is unaffected. You initially learn the surface thoughts of the creature—what is most on its mind in that moment. As an action, you can either shift your attention to another creature’s thoughts or attempt to probe deeper into the same creature’s mind. If you probe deeper, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, you gain insight into its reasoning (if any), its emotional state, and something that loom s large in its mind (such as something it worries over, loves, or hates). If it succeeds, the spell ends. Either way, the target knows that you are probing into its mind, and unless you shift your attention to another creature’s thoughts, the creature can use its action on its turn to make an Intelligence check contested by your Intelligence check; if it succeeds, the spell ends. Until the spell ends, the duplicates move with you and mimic your actions, shifting position so it’s impossible to track which image is real. You can use your action to dismiss the illusory duplicates. Each time a creature targets you with an attack during the spell’s duration, roll a d20 to determine whether the attack instead targets one of your duplicates. If you have three duplicates, you must roll a 6 or higher to change the attack’s target to a duplicate. With two duplicates, you must roll an 8 or higher. With one duplicate, you must roll an 11 or higher. A duplicate’s AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier. If an attack hits a duplicate, the duplicate is destroyed. A duplicate can be destroyed only by an attack that hits it. It ignores all other damage and effects. The spell ends when all three duplicates are destroyed. Turning the halberd about quickly in her hands, Mara was able to lash out at the wolf as it tried to flee back into the woods. It was Opportunity attack, 17 to hit, 7 damagenot a deep cut by any means, but she had little fear of the creature retaliating against her in its condition.. With no hint of emotion on her young face, the half-orc stalked after the other wolves intent on putting an end to them. Using the superior reach of her weapon she lashed out at the nearest creature even before she was in range of its fearsome teeth. Attack them before they can hit you, and you’ll usually win. Her old guard captain’s training advice was not exactly the stuff books were written about, but it was good advice. She struck with the blade, before using her own momentum to twist about and lash out with the ironshod butt cap. Of course, winning also required accuracy, or at the very least, luck, and in this moment Miss on both atttacksMara had neither on her side as she flailed about like a drunken bear.

When the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears after you cast this spell again.
While your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your familiar's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.
As an action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar. It disappears into a pocket dimension where it awaits your summons. Alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.

Knights in dingy armor Missing her staff attack, Polly still managed to draw the wolves' attention from the wounded woman to herself. Halas hurled more vicious mockery and one of the beasts shot a fiery glare down at him before turning its attention back to the monk. Another beast yelped as Aender's bolt sank into its flesh, and the third did the same when hit by Ismark's shaft. Both of Barry's attempts to sway the combat proved to be failures. After Mara chopped down one of the fleeing wolves, her follow-up attacks - as well as Jhorn's - proved also ineffectual. The damsel in distress continued to flee the aggressive wolves atop the boulder. Polly's skilled dodging mitigated the surrounding wolves' attacks quite well, but she still received 6 damagea nip on the side - right where her love handle would be if she were less lean and toned. Polly Titchwillow Polly put up an admirable defense, interposing her staff between the wolves' teeth and herself so that their bites found only the wooden haft of her weapon. When they jumped at her from a different angle, her kick would find their chest, knocking the wind from their lungs as they scrambled back to prepare another lunge. But there were three of them, and she was alone. With a cry of pain she contorted her body, pulling away from the bite which had found her abdomen, tearing her flesh on the wolf's teeth even as she tore away from the animal. Panting, Polly took a moment to press one hand against her wound, in an attempt to staunch the bleeding. Then, with anger in her eyes, she let out a primal scream at a wolf as it came at her again. Startled, the beast stopped in its tracks just long enough for Polly to thrust her staff towards the animal. It found its way past the wolf's snout, went underneath its jowls, and Critical hit, 13 damageslammed into the creature's throat- crushing its larynx. With a yelp, the wolf retreated back, trying in vain to draw breath. Polly paid the animal no further heed. Withdrawing her front leg back to her center, she sat crouched for a moment, then jumped up even as another wolf lunged at her. Flurry of blows First attack: 21 to hit, 8 damage Second attack: 11 to hit, 8 damageTwice she kicked before hitting the ground- one foot skidding off the side of the wolf's snout, but the other finding its target. While Mara was a considerable combatant, she was still learning the nuances of strategy when it came to combat. That inexperience left her all by herself and well out of halberd range of the wolves, though she rushed forward to do her best at reducing that distance. Planting the halberd into the damp earth near the river, she pulled an axe from her belt and lined up her throw as she walked forward. You create a sound or an image of an object within range that lasts for the duration. The illusion also ends if you dismiss it as an action or cast this spell again.
If you create a sound, its volume can range from a whisper to a scream. It can be your voice, someone else's voice, a lion's roar, a beating of drums, or any other sound you choose. The sound continues unabated throughout the duration, or you can make discrete sounds at different times before the spell ends.
If you create an image of an object--such as a chair, muddy footprints, or a small chest--it must be no larger than a 5-foot cube. The image can't create sound, light, smell, or any other sensory effect. Physical interaction with the image reveals it to be an illusion, because things can pass through it.
If a creature uses its action to examine the sound or image, the creature can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. You can seem 1 foot shorter or taller and can appear thin, fat, or in between. You can't change your body type, so you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs. Otherwise, the extent of the illusion is up to you.
The changes wrought by this spell fail to hold up to physical inspection. For example, if you use this spell to add a hat to your outfit, objects pass through the hat, and anyone who touches it would feel nothing or would feel your head and hair. If you use this spell to appear thinner than you are, the hand of someone who reaches out to touch you would bump into you while it was seemingly still in midair.
To discern that you are disguised, a creature can use its action to inspect your appearance and must succeed on an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC.Disguise Self, Casting Time: 1 hour Range/Area: 10ft. Your familiar acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn. A familiar can't attack, but it can take other actions as normal.
When the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. It reappears after you cast this spell again.
While your familiar is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your familiar's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.
As an action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar. It disappears into a pocket dimension where it awaits your summons. Alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. As an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.
You can't have more than one familiar at a time. If you cast this spell while you already have a familiar, you instead cause it to adopt a new form. Choose one of the forms from the above list. Your familiar transforms into the chosen creature.
Finally, when you cast a spell with a range of touch, your familiar can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. Your familiar must be within 100 feet of you, and it must use its reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it.
