You actually read my mind, 97mg, I was wondering about whether Stahl might occasionally zigzag around. (Even thought about chaning my talent to Path of the Plains to make it more versatile.) Although that puts the burden of an additional Lead the Way on the main party, when I'm the best suited to keep them safe, so thought it might be a bit selfish; also, a check for every hex I enter might make it a bit risky for a lone rider? I'm still weighing up what would be considered a reasonable risk in the game.

Oh, and to clarify: if Stahl ducks off to check on family, it'll be like a ten-minute thing, so it's not something that will result in holding up the group much or leading to a split party right away.

Hi HotsuSama, yeah that sounds good! It is a real trade off, that you are welcome to experiment with! Cover more ground at a higher risk, and have super fun finally getting the mount up to turbo pace? Or be cautious and hope for a safe future speedway hehe. Zigzag isn't a bad idea actually, as your moves could start and end in the same hex as the rest of the team. Lets feel it out as we go

How would accompanying another rider work? I know Bladdanser's carrying capacity is 12 even with me on board, but I don't know how to quantify the weight of, say, a goblin or a half-elf.

Considering a mount's carrying capacity without a rider is Str x4, and with a rider is Str x2, it's probably ok to assume the horse can carry two people. Certainly is one of them is a goblin.

I'm putting up a narrative post soon but Stahl is ready too, and is just sticking with the group for now without any crazy zigzagging.

Hi Chylopan! I actually have good news for you. You get another two dice because of your Wits. Skill checks get their dice total from Attribute, Skill, and sometimes also gear too (if you have an item relevant to the check... like maybe a map or something).

Let's see how those extra two d6 go for you!
