I was thinking that she would have been about 12, making the search five years long, with her siblings about eight at the time. This makes her old enough to have seen through the veneer of comforts her parents were trying to maintain, although not old enough to know how to respond. A name learned eavesdropping on her parents, and heard again on her search for her siblings.
As a child she was able to sell her house unofficially, and at a very poor fee. Much of the money came from her selling the furniture made by her grandfather, a finer craft than the building. |

No, and this is a fact that pains her greatly. Her grandfather, the carpenter was a talented man, not extraordinarily so, but talented none the less, and a generally good contributor to society, she holds his memory, vague as it is as the model of what a parent should be over that of her own parents, though her cynicism makes her a much less generous person than he was. She could have accepted her parents as unskilled labourers earning poor wages, at least she believes she could. But she loathes them because their foolish refusal to face reality spilled over, harming their children.

A little, but even had she the proper tools, and someone to teach her, she shows little aptitude for the craft, indeed most mundane crafts escape her, though healing came to her, first magical, then the mundane as she began to understand what was being healed by her magics. Her other skills are those of the tongue, or that of the mind.

Her house is in one of the poorer districts, where most of her clientele are found, those too poor, or too criminal to go to the temples for healing. For somebody in the district, the house is very large. But this is necessary, because the ground floor houses her ward, the walls are lined with cots, with two smaller rooms off to the side, one contains her supplies (Properly locked, given the location) the other is accessed through the back of the house only and contains two more cots, for those that wish to be unseen should the guard come to visit.
This main ward is kept in good repair, it is a house of healing, dirt and disrepair would discourage customers. If she can afford it, the area is even decorated with fresh flowers. Upstairs, however, is slightly different, it is kept tidy, and it is kept mostly clean, but much of the space is unused. Her furniture is limited to a bed, a table, two chairs, a secure chest and a bookshelf, as well as a nest of sorts, formed of rags and skins for her familiar. Living alone, and used to it, Lianna uses her living space for sleeping, for studying her magic in private and for little else. She spends much of her time downstairs in the ward, or out on the streets, searching for word of her siblings. |
