I'll start: Thank you, Admin Dirk, for inviting me into your game and being so incredibly patient while I endlessly did not finish my character sheet. I am looking forward to my first in game posts of 2023!

Thanks to RPG Crossing for being full of endless stories, and full of pleasant people to help us play out those stories--in dungeons, spaceships, dystopian futures, dance halls, cowtowns, and anywhere we want to go!
The gaming is great, but the connections are extraordinary. For everyone who shared their posts and their story-building with me, I'm grateful for your time and imagination! Let's create more in 2023! |

I like to do a Shoutout to one of my players! SpatulaOdoom ! He has been excellent in helping me explain the rules to some New players for "Shadowrun 4e"!For those who don't know 4e Shadowrun can be one of the most convoluted systems. For example having three different types of Initiative/combat rules and sometimes having them all happen at the same time!
Having a Vet answer some questions to some players when i can't do so right away has really lighten the load and even helped me remember some of the rules myself! So thanks again Spat!

I will take a minute to thank the moderators that went before, who have come, served, and had life take them away to other duties. Your work, and your legacy, lives on in what we are, and what this community has become. If not for you, and your work and guidance, I would not be here, enjoying this place for my... 15th year? To the former staff, I follow the path you blazed! thank you.
I want to thank the current staff as well. Without them, this place would not run. The thousands of hours spent behind the scenes make every one of you special. Of course, some of you were special to start with (Raylorne), but that's beside the point. To all my current players, GM's, and gamers. I appreciate you, your stories, efforts, imagination, patience and humor. To those who have passed through: I miss many, many of our times together. Our games together, our shared imaginations and stories. I miss YOU, and wish you the best as life takes you to other places. And I hope for your eventual return. To those who have passed on: I miss you most, because there is nothing left but your memory. As long as your writings and memories remain, you are never truly lost or forgotten. And finally, to my little brother Squeak. I remember you most, and your passing impacted me the least. Life took you from us too soon. It is said that only the good die young, so it was very surprising to me that you went. I had you pegged for another 75 years or more, easy, based on that. But I was wrong. Your presence here on the boards will be missed, I am sure, by all. Or some. At least me. You left a hole here, that cannot be filled, and I for one do miss you every day. Rest in Peace, little brother. Semper Fi. Batteries not included.

Thank you, Admin Dirk, for not inviting me into your game so I have to be incredibly patient while Birched doesn’t not finish my character sheet. I am looking forward to not making my first in game posts!
To summarize why this is such an awesome place, it is about the people. The Dm’s, players and most of the management of this place make it what it is. And Dirk, you are mistaken by my demise. While you did push me into a vat of beer, I made it out just fine, In fact, I caught the ending of it on video

These posts from Squeak's ghost account (isn't AI a wonderful thing?) make me cry.
I miss you little brother! Why did death have to come so soon for you??? What did you do to deserve such an end? Why didn't you have me as beneficiary on your insurance policy? Soooo many questions...

It's a little naff, but I'd like to thank them anyway: my GMs and players.
You want all the names, I have them archived (check my signature). They've all been fun, creative, understanding and good to come back to.

Last year I thanked a lot of people. All that gratitude is still outpouring. But today I'm going to just thank my player Fillyjonk. It's the three-year anniversary of the start of our solo game, and it's been a wild awesome ride. We decided to let go of our daily streak, as we both have travel and some other intense projects going on. But neither of us can let this story go, so here's to many more chapters.

I've just set the user reputation settings back to normal, but please do continue using this thread as the whim takes you! Thank you to everyone past and present who has contributed positively to making this site what it is today -- the players, GMs, general contributors of written word, event and publication volunteers, site staff, and anyone I may have left out of that list by not just leaving it simply with 'everyone' instead!
