No worries! I was just concerned you rolled it somewhere and I was being utterly daft and blind.

So...we are rather screwed if we don't get some pretty good rolls.

Not gonna lie. This first combat is tough! The XP should take you almost halfway up to 2nd level I believe. You've been doing really well so far!
EDIT: Oh, and since I'm balancing a 4 person path for 6 people... this is also a trial run to see what you can and can't handle. ![]()

I will be after you turn in the round, but at this point i'm at 3/9.
I have to say, I've changed targets like 3 times, but at this point self-preservation may be the best option. |

Only because color spray is a ridiculously good spell at 1st level ...
![]() I personally loathe sleep and color spray. They get put on every. single. wizard/sorc. I make it my mission to not use those spells on my own characters. Also: I don't think I rolled above 10 on any of those saves. >_>

There's your problem. If you made even one save, he's screwed with his no armor and d4 hp. Sleep is killer at level 1 and 2, but color spray is a risky move with the proximity.
Now a Duskblade in 3.5 with color spray was just cruel. Cast, Coup de Grace, repeat. |

In Pathfinder, he has d6... and he took Toughness, so he's actually got a whole lot of hp for a Sorcerer (more than the Ranger does currently!)
But the thing is, with a DC of 15 (and you could easily get it to ~DC 17 with the right kind of build), that's a very low chance for the average CR 1/2 mook to save against. This table will show you that on average, that's a ~30% chance to save for a bad save, and a ~60% chance for a good save. And you can bet that most low level mooks will have bad will saves. Those are some good odds. Basically: I hate sleep and color spray because they are poorly designed - amazing for when you first get them but terribad later in your career. I like spells that can be useful all the way through (at least to a degree), not too strong at any point.
