Moridain, I'll admit that I don't actually understand your attack routine. For example, why don't your secondary/iterative attacks suffer any attack penalty? If the 3 1d20+24s represent a bite and two claws, what does the 1d20+25 represent? It's a complete mess to me.
Besides, Mina shouldn't be there. She should be in the 10x10 space immediately south of the Dakkagrem. |

All of my attacks are natural attacks which are calculated differently from usual Iterative attacks. All my attack forms are listed as Primary attacks, which mean they take no direct penalty to attack due to order. I would take a penalty for using multiple forms, but this is reduced to -2 since I have the multi-attack feat (granted through the Eidolon). Eidolons gain a 'maximum number of attacks' limit, which Kalis is currently at +1 for haste (which I do gain, I checked).
As to the 1d20+25, that is my CMB roll for the trips on each of the bites. It is a bit confusing, but Frag has managed to work his way through them for a while now, since they are the same much of the time. And I didn't realise you had moved, since it wasn't listed on the map. In that case I appear to the left of the Swordgrem and do the same thing.

Huh, I didn't know that about primary natural attacks. I figured it was the same as using a manufactured weapon; only one type of natural attack could be primary, while all others were secondary. Very useful.
Edit: By "the first attack which hits will trip," don't you mean "if a bite attack hits, roll to trip?" Last edited by Muggins; Apr 10th, 2014 at 10:56 PM. |

Yeah, the first attack against Mina is a bite and only bite attacks have a chance to trip. If that misses you are fine. For that trip, keep in mind that you get a bonus to your defense for your size AND for having four legs, though I can't remember what they are right off the top of my head.
And yeah Natural Attacks are very weird. When I was making this character it took me days digging through the forums, reading up on Primary vs Secondary attack priority, item stacking for synthesist and more to figure out the rules. In the end I worked with a friend to sort it all out, the same friend who I work with on most of my characters.

Oh my!
Reading up on the otherworldly Kimono it seems to be a kind of varient spell activation item with the bonus of allowing No Save. However I believe this still means that Spell Resistance needs to be checked against like any other Spell item. Roll off against SR 26 please? Here is hoping I fail, this would effectively remove me from the fight unless I rolled an 18. ![]()

Mina rolled a 23.
![]() I've never heard of rolling versus spell resistance versus an item, though. I guess I'll go and change my actions to account for you surviving that Fate Worse Than DeathTM. Last edited by Muggins; Apr 11th, 2014 at 01:01 AM. |

Yeah, I had to go and check before I said to do it. Apparently it is only on items with spell like effects, such as the kimono which is in effect a cloak of resistance with a 1/day use of Maze spell. In fact the Kimono has taken the text from that spell almost word for word.
![]() Dang it though... That would have been a great way to remove me from play... Stupid Archmage... I have no idea how they managed to dominate me through my +20 Will and 26 SRD, but I seriously wish to put claws into unfortunate places for doing so. Kill the one who did it and hopefully the effect will end?

Don't be silly. Domination effects are instantaneous, which is why we haven't used Dispel Magic or the like to fix you.
![]() Edit: Say, would an augmented Cleanse Spirit remove domination? ![]() EditEdit: Dominate Person isn't actually an instantaneous effect, what with being a permanent mindscrew and all. I must've been thinking of something else. Rather than changing my actions, I'll trust Varash to cast Greater Dispel Magic or Break Enchantment and free Kalis. Wow, apparently you are right about dominate. Killing the caster really doesn't end the effect... I had also thought this WASN'T dominate person since Kalis isn't really a 'person' but there is an annoying line of text saying that Kalis is both (original species) and Outsider 'whichever is worse'. So I have issues with both magic circles AND charm person spells.
Rude... I hope Varash thinks to cast that instead of just trying to bop him for trying to eat him. He can be really vindictive about things like that...

I can't believe you rolled a 2 on that SRP check... /sigh/
Does this work both ways then, Frag? Can I use Charm Person on monsters? Dominate Person on bosses? Hold Person on fourteen tentacled flying squid monsters?

Sorry for my lack of reply. Brain's been kinda mushed out.I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out the damage from Kalis's Varashmageddon. I know that I'm tripped but that's about it.
Also don't worry about Varash bopping. Varash views things somewhat in terms of "Mine, Not Mine, Going To Be Mine." Thanks to brain scramble last level, and the fact we're all only slightly bound by our shared goals, Vinny's "Mine" status got overshadowed by the loss of the potential "Going To Be Mine." The worst he'll give normal Kalis is a slap to the backside of one of his heads. The thief of one of "His" on the other hand... |
