If everyone but Kalis dies, will we need to make a whole new party?

Also, what did I roll on my Will save against that dominate? It must have been a 1 right?

From what I know of the current "meta-plot," a party led by a Gremlin-boosted Kalis seems possible and fancy.

Muggins: Quite possibly, yes. Also, I am not as optimistic about your chances now, as the only bright side of that engage was that you are not tripped. You are, however, almost dead, with a Kalis, and then more gremlins outside.

Are you suggesting that Muggins play something other than a psionic character, just for the sake of party survival? Twaddle!

Unless I'm mistaken, Mina is very much tripped. She's only got a CMD of 30, so both the 38 and the 31 cause her to trip. Upside: You can't get tripped twice. Downside: The Prone condition applies a -4 penalty to AC against melee attacks, so all of Kalis' attacks hit. Counting..

• 19 Damage.

That's 91 damage. Mina has 7 remaining. Whoo!

Edit: I believe Varash knows both Dispel Magic and Break Enchantment. Meanwhile, Mina knows Dispel Psionics and Cleanse Spirit (which might work, but I never got clarification on it). Dispel Psionics is really the only chance she has left.

In hindsight I should have used a move to pull out a healing wand, a free to drop it for Mina and standard to prepare greater dispell or such for Kalis's breakout

It is quite possible I read the d20s wrong. Either way, you're still screwed.

Anyway, start putting your votes in for Ressurect, Reroll with Same Personality, or Reroll for your characters. The gremlin statblock is helpfully provided if you want to play a gremlin.

 

Gremlins are the fuzzy underlings of the Aegyll states, similar to Goblins or Kobolds elsewhere. While the goblins are prone to infighting, and the kobolds tend to hunker underground, Gremlins are just daft, and tend to spend their civilized pursuits doing things that are not very good for empire building. They probably could be a world power if they felt like it, but that's not very fun. Papers are for making airplanes from, not pushing around.
+2 Dexterity, Charisma, -2 Wisdom. Gremlins are fast and perky, but are juvenile children at best.
+2 Climb, Stealth, Climb is always a class skill for Gremlins. Gremlins climb over everything and everyone, and they're quiet about it too.

Nimble Steps - Gremlins can take a 10 ft step instead of a 5 ft one.
Common Gear - Gremlin society favors light armor, dorky helmets, spears, and longswords.

Blessed Cheesemaker	Firearm, Exotic	30000	This magitek minigun is not a true firearm, but rather a repeating crossbow that spins around in a circle, because gremlins love spinning things. It's still painful. 2d6 PRC 19X2, 30ft range. +3 Enchanted, deals an extra 1d6x2 damage to undead. Requires a STR of 14(+2) to use properly, lowering your attack for each STRMod below that.
Attractive Lightbeam	Evokable, Tiny	2000	By flashing this little light source on an enemy, then pointing somewhere else within 30 feet of them, you encourage them to chase after the light if they fail a DC17 Will save. This can cause them to try to jump up walls after it if they can't climb a wall you point it at. Target gets a new save for each round after the first, or if attacked.

Your survival is contingent upon Mina both landing the Dispel, and dodging the AoO that would come as she casts it. And then you still have to win the fight afterwards.

Dodging the AoO is the easy part; Mina has a high enough concentration check that she can cast any of her spells defensively without fear of failure. Heck, there isn't even a touch attack for Dispel Psionics, so she just has to make the caster level check there too.

Still, it's not looking good. It turns out that the time trial wasn't as mildly challenging as we expected.

If you can break this enchantment I think I can keep us both alive. Greater Invisibility on Mina then Dimension Door us well forward to drop you off before popping back for the bodies.

Possible. I still don't hold our chances very well, but it's worth a shot if Mina can wrangle the dispel check.

So, why not think about some new characters while I scrap up another post?

• A fancy-pants Pooka Traceur. A real one this time. She'll be a mean, fuzzy leaping machine!
• A poison-inclined Flora Barbarian. Generally devious and excitable. A princess to her men/gremlins.
• A horrific The image broke, but still. Laetyri. May or may not be nightmare-inclined. Very spoopy, but not terribly serious.

Edit: Kalis is the bane of Mina's caster level checks. She rolled a 1 on the dispel check (you know, the one that mattered) and a 1 on the defensive manifesting check (which doesn't matter, since she still succeeds). Maybe it won't matter and the Gremlin will have a tiny caster level, but still.
