After, Aira listens to the lords story. I am sure he would face it similar, for much of him is within you. May he rest in peace. Last edited by kaylara; May 15th, 2014 at 03:27 PM. |

"Well, if I happen to stumble upon a tribe of kobolds looking to relocate, I'll point them your way," replies Louis with a grin.
After his story, a smile breaks on his solemn expression: "Thank you, Aira. My mother tells me much the same, but ... 'tis good to hear it from another's lips ... or beak, as the case may be," a smirk twitching. Seeing that the sun had already traveled much of the sky, Louis remarks: "Time has certainly flown. I'd imagine you're getting rather hungry. If you haven't any provisions in reach in this form, I do have some trail rations on me."

Aira pecks at his pant leg at the comment. This form has no teeth. I could change into a large cat or perhaps a horse. Could eat like a horse then...

Tilting his head to the side at her, "I imagine your beak would suffice. But if you want to take an equine shape, I do still have some bags of feed stowed in my pack. Tencedor certainly won't be needing it today. I couldn't comment on the taste, but it'll be no worse than my rations, not to mention a lot more of it."

Aira thinks for a moment while looking below. Ahh, i see dinner, hold on tight. as she begins a dive, quickly hitting terminal velosity. The wind is so emense, nothing else can be heard. The cold air and high wind draws nothing but tears from Lord Louis's eyes as he is forced to squint or close them. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the flock of ducks flying in a V formation as Aira picks one off the back portion of the V.
Leveling out after the dive, she begins to climb back up to another cloud in the high strong winds above once again. Passing the dead duck to one of her talon, Do you want some? Last edited by kaylara; May 15th, 2014 at 06:11 PM. |

Wiping and blinking his eyes to clear them, "If we plan on making this a habit, I'm going to need a better visor. Impressive hunting, Aira, but no thank you. I don't actually need to eat, so I wouldn't want to take away from your kill."

Aira was a bit confused. What do you mean, you don't have to eat? What else should I know?

"You'll have to clarify 'should know' a bit," Louis shrugs, "I can't think of anything that would be burdensome for you."
Pulling off his right gauntlet, he shows the Galliberos signet ring. "As for the lack of hunger, my family ring has been blessed for many generations. I don't need to eat, and I require little sleep. It makes for a more industrious lord and an easier traveler."

Aira wondered, Well, things that are good to know help also. Like your resistance to cold where you do not fear my breath. That could be useful if your surrounded, then I could blast everyone and not worry about you. The fact you do no require food or much rest, we could travel all week long then if needed. I require little rest, usually we sleep for a few years at a time. I've been practicing like humans for some time now, even enjoy the food most of all.

"All useful insights," he nods, "It's tricky to gauge what might synergize with you or not. Let's see. You have seen me shrug off your paralyzing mist without much difficulty. I've similar resilience against most maladies of mind and body. You should be feeling a share of it while I've been riding you. Hm. My magical skill is rather rudimentary, but I've prepared a spell to let me sleep soundly in my armor. It'll save us the doubtless awkwardness of my trying to change out of it on your back."
Cocking an intrigued brow, "Oh, you do sleep? Sorry, my sister is far more versed than I in the habits of dragons."

Aira nodded, Yes, but our sleeping is much different. Also, as you've noticed, I am immune to cold, but also Acid , sleep and paralysis, however fire really hurts. The breath you saw is not the only one, I can also form a cone of cold to freeze everything in its path. she paused a moment.
You've seen my shifting abilities, cloud walking, and felt my combat ability first hand. However, I am also capable of remainging in flight while attacking and passing by. Soon, my dragon blood will grant me arcane and divine abilities, I've already begun to develop some powers, like detecting evil. she looks at him, How about other skills? I'm a excellent appraiser, can even tell what magic properties an item may have, studied all knowleges, spell craft, ability to use any magic item, sense deciet and invisible beings, super keen sight, not to mention skills in diplomancy. "Attacking on the fly? Useful, though not so much for an underground quest. Still," giving an appreciative nod, "if you fancy my flying you into battle, that could work rather well with my lancing skill."
Shaking his head, "Beyond a silver tongue, an eye for picking out deceit, and a cavalier's prowess, my education has been far less versatile. My arts and running a fief have left room for little else."

Aira nodded, Probably best we traverse the caves as normal. Unless you want me to become an ogre and lead you in as tribute so we can make it to the leader and let the fight ensew from there. That could be overwealming thou, it may be safer to wittle their number before facing their strongest members.

"What exactly counts as normal for you, m'lady?" quips a smiling Louis. "Seriously though, I've little care for subterfuge or deception, to say nothing of the danger you mention of jumping into the lion's mouth without knowing what awaits us."

During their traveling, Aira points out the towns and settlements. Some time after as they look below, they can tell they are over the moutains. Aira tilted her headin response to the lords query about normal as the winds continue to carry them, Normal, hmm, well in dragon form I suppose. then she looks out ahead of them. See that peak there. Home is there, we are close now.
Looking around, the terrain is un inhabitable for most, an icy cold peak. Traversable only by air or underground. As they get closer, Aira begins to decend out of the jet stream. Looking ahead, she makes her way to a high peek, snow covered and open to the sky. There's home. Last edited by kaylara; May 17th, 2014 at 10:19 PM. |
