^^^ Always a good suggestion, other than that, it's a crypt crawl with some plot twists, and the tombs are mostly people of Kassen, so language really isn't going to play a huge part of the module.
And I did consider running it as Society, but I feel like that's something I should have advertised up front, and I want to get some general DMing experience under my belt before I try to tackle some Society things.

I hate to do this, but i have a super huge favor to ask... I've never played a witch before, and the more I look at it, less I am impressed.
So I was wondering if I could ask a HUGE favor? Can I change my character to a druid? Leave everything the same, but just be a druid. My fox stays a fox, but it's.... just unusually big, and we use wolf stats instead? If you say yes, I can have a character sheet made in less than 30 minutes.

Yeah that's fine, I picked more on character than I did on class, beyond trying not to have a party full of rogues.
I'm also fine with reskinning animal companions, but it might be a better idea to select the stats of a small companion that grows to medium to fit the flavor more, unless you were dead set on wolf stats for some reason?

Witches have some great stuff at low levels. Healing hex has to be one of the best picks for a first level character ever. It scales with party size, which is just fantastic.
Of course less good with small parties where some other healing flexibility is better. But they are an odd class. I've tried playing one (albeit a high level one) and it felt a little odd. On another topic Given we are a little light on muscle, I'll swing Jasper a little more towards front line fighting (not a lot mind you, but I was going to go with a neutral or small strenght bonus, I think I'll bump it up to at least 14 - which means a hit in a few areas, probably wisdom. In character but bad for spotting traps. Lucikly we have more than one rogue! Last edited by aerondor; May 23rd, 2014 at 08:26 PM. |

How about bear than? A Bear is small, and at forth level "grows up" to be medium.

Finished playing with it, my Fox(bear) and I are ready to tank the heck out of stuff.
Wizard, Rogues, do your worst!

Looks like you are going to be the tank - aiming for a wildshaping melee monster Hound?

Far, far from my original goal, but I can live with it.

Speaking of Fox(bear)s, I'm going to buy you a crow(bar) and a lot of other heavy gifts

I'm taking a pony.

We haven't even began yet and aerondor already stolen a pony. Who did you take it from?
Or did you merely 'release it from the captivating clutches of ownership'? Last edited by okashii; May 24th, 2014 at 12:48 AM. |

It wasn't stolen. I earned that pony. I worked hard, my fingers to the bone I tell you.
I'm still getting dirt out from under my fingernails. Honestly, if that is the reward for an honest days labour I can see why less and less people are honest. What? Most people have to work for months to earn a pony? More fool them I say. |
