I'd love some kind of rough map of the area we are settling. I'm a visual person and I want to make sure I am picturing what you are describing as the area accurately.

I'd like to know if there is an ancient, forgotten language for the world? Something that nobody in modern times speaks but which can be found on very old writings and is of historical interest to a select few. If not can I make one up, along with the country/empire/culture that spoke it?

I too would like to know what kind of languages are spoken in the area, as well as what type of creatures can be found there.

Economics! Is the gold standard actually a non-fiat currency? Or is the ability to create gold via magic so ubiquitous that local authorities can just mint as many gold pieces as the economy requires? Is there a single universal currency, or are there varying exchange rates between different civilizations? Do caravans come through here at all? etc etc

Oh, also, does magic-fueled mass production exist? Or are powerful mages too rare for that?

Sorry, I'm geeking out a bit, aren't I? Econ major. Can't help it.
