The guards are amused by your mental failings, but take pity on you and open the gate. There's... more tunnels on the other side, but a rush of cool air greets you. Either nighttime or winter, you forget which. Probably not both, it's not that cold.

Jasper follows his comrades through the tunnels to the gates staying in his small form the entire time testing his weapons. Jasper takes a few swings with his longsword listening as the weapons slices through the air. Jaspers also slams the face of the blade against the chainmail at hip level nodding with satisfaction that the armor will hold up. Jasper slides the weapon back into its scabbard and then reaches for the bow that was resting over his left shoulder. Jasper holds the bow, in the middle section, with his right hand as he extend his right arm. Jasper pulls the string with his left to his chest. Japser tests the tightness of the string a few times before slipping the bow back onto his shoulder.

Khalla accepts the roll of parchment and gives the scientist a mock salute. She watches with satisfaction as claw crashes into the gate.
"Ouch. I'll see you later." she gives the little kobold a playful nudge, being careful not to knock him down or otherwise break him, then slithers out of the gate. Her hand moves to her empty stomach. "Let's get someone to eat on the way. I'm hungry and we should get warmed up before we do the hard stuff. I've never had to kill people who could get away before." She smiles at the memory of being fed failed test subjects. Mmmmmm. People.

A few seconds go by as Claw lays there on the ground. When he finally gets up, he wipes himself off, gathers his composure as if trying to pretend nothing happened, and right before his first step a large belch of venomous breath escapes his jaws. Claw stares in amusement as the gaseous green acid and laughs heartily as he skips down the rest of the corridor attempting to whistle a jaunty tune.

Nutcases: You wander for about 10 minutes of great boredom, occasionally getting lost and corrected on your directions by Khalla and her map of wisdom. You eventually arrive at a small sliding door. It looks like it'll be a tight fit for the bigger members of the party, but you suppose it keeps the humans out.
Outside the door, you can see a rocky ledge, and the hints of a night sky above. Pretty clear of clouds, nice and starry. Good weather for eating people and stealing their sticks.

"So, seriously, lets find a house or something on the way. We can test the weapons and get lunch." Khalla studies her map, trying to work out if there's a convenient place on their route.

Claw dashes outside and stares at the stars. It had been a long while since he had seen the pretty little holes poked into the blanket of night sky. His tongue lolls out the side of his mouth and he begins coughing after almost choking from his own spittle.

Claw: You don't think you'll be able to eat the stars, pretty though they are.
Khalla: You wander out onto the cliff ledge. You get a wonderful view of the place from here: above you is a massive winding spire of rock that seems to travel up for quite some distance; a few miles at least. A good ways along its ascent you note a precipice jutting out from the spire, several building like things are hanging from it in a rude gesture to Mr. Gravity. The land below the cliff edge appears to be a nice mix of grasslands, forests, and rivers. There's a couple of small pockets of housing every once in a while down there, probably barns and such from the way the land is laid out. According to your map, Anserona should be along the main road, about 4 miles out from your little exit point. It seems to line up with one of the smallish towns you can spy from up here, so at least the map isn't lying to you(you hope).

Khalla points in the direction she thinks the map is suggesting. "I think it's that way." She slides along towards the road, looking out for some isolated home along the way.

Claw gets up and looks out over the cliff, "There's a town!" he points excitedly, his crumpled little wing things make pathetic flapping motions. He follows Khalla, picking up every other rock and throws it up. Occasionally a rock will come back down and land on the poor bucket that still embraces his head.

Jasper steps out of the tunnels and into the fresh air and smiles with excitement. Finally out of that hole he thinks as he looks around easily seeing in the night as if it was day. Jaspers spends some time staring off in the distance when he realizes his companions had left without him. He quickly spots them off in the distance and hurries to catch up.

Miss Wiggle: You wiggle on for a while, taking an overly steep and windy path down the cliff, though you manage to reach the grasslands without falling off(a noble goal, to be sure). The dirt road takes you along the plains, though without much to see, even forgiving the fact it's night-time.
You're coming up on Anserona, it's about a mile off, giving your best guess on how far you've wiggled. You do actually spy a farmhouse, off about 400 feet to the right of the road. In front of you is a hill; beyond which should lie your destination. Another path forks around the left side of the hill, though you don't quite remember where it leads to.
Claw: There aren't any rocks around here. This is cause for great sadness, as you were almost getting properly Stoned thanks to your antics, until your rock rolled away from you and got lost in the grass.

Khalla grins as she sees the farmhouse. Ooh, you they'll be humans? Who's coming? She wriggles right.

Claw bounds after Khalla in a parade of leaps and cartwheels. A silly laugh followed by an occasional burp of flame comes from him as he rolls along the ground. After fully noticing the farmhouse he freezes "Shhhh!" he looks intently at the object for a moment, "Red house!" and begins attempting to sneak up on the oblivious building.
