Yes, they're a couple feet away from the pit and can leap into it in one turn.

Bunch of questions about the cave map:
Which beast is the child? Which beast is the wounded one we just fought?

And is the beast to the north blocked by that crystal/ice structure? Is that blue area in the center (liquid) water?

Edit: Are there any suitably precarious stalactites on the ceiling above?

Crystals are everywhere, including above, there are about three dozen sharp crystal icicles extending from the ceiling in different locations.

The wounded Creature is the one in the Lower left.
The child is the one "Blocked by the ice structure".
and no, he can walk around it, it's fine.

And yes, that's what appears to be a shallow pond of water.

There are only small ice-charred stones to throw.
The crystals can be broken with an appropriate *Hacking* tool.

The child is attacking, even more aggressively than the others, they're all moving in for blood.

My main disappointment, aside from putting us in this bad spot, was no livid reaction from the smug captain at our escape.

Anyway, Herb, the best I can figure is 1) hitting the young one hard, hoping to drop it & use it as leverage with the others, or 2) focus on the wounded one, drop it, & hope they get the hint (or have cannibalistic tendencies). Any thoughts?

Attacking the child is probably going to kill use much quicker then if we did anything else, they would then be protecting the nest...if we go for the wounded one we can maybe show some strength and make them think twice.

Yes, because a wounded adult is a more worthy foe than a child.

Ok, they all are going to be on us as soon as we act, so we need to stand by Amery to make sure we keep them off her. Ferris to the right (keep the child off her) and Galahad to the left. We can both ready a slash for the wounded adult once he gets in range. With any luck (I know it hasn't been there so far), we can drop it that round. Sound good to you?
