Dice!

So There are 2 types of d8

The Ability Die will be labeled as 1 d8, 3 d8, etc.

and the Difficulty die, which will be 1 -d8, 4 -d8, etc.

Ability die will give successes, advantages, or nothing.

Difficulty die will give failures, threat, or nothing.



2 types of d6

The Boost die will be labeled as 1 d6, 2 d6, etc.

and the setback will be labeled as 1 -d6. 2 -d6, etc.

Boost die can give successes, advantages. or nothing.

Setback can give failures, threat, or nothing.



And 3 types of d12

The Proficiency die will be labeled as 1 d12, 3 d12, etc.

The Challenge Die will be 1 -d12, 4 -d12, etc.

We will leave out the force die, seeing how we don't really have sessions, and will just say everyone starts with 1 light-side force counter. (These can be used by the character to add an advantage die, or make an ability die into a proficiency die, or the like. Reversely, once spent, they become dark force counters, and the GM may use them to present more of a challenge by adding a setback die or making a difficulty die into a challenge die.

Proficiency die can give successes, advantages, or Triumphs.

Challenge die can give failures, threats, or despairs.



So, A success counteracts a failure, and vice-versa is failures have more, or are tied, the characters fails the check, if successes win, the character succeeds at the check.

Now, an Advantage counteracts a threat, and vice-versa. If they are tied, nothing special happens, the check succeeds or fails with nothing grand. If threats win out, even if the check passes, it could bring bad things, decided by the GM, where as if the advantages win even if the check fails, it may give you some advantage on your next turn.

A Triumph counts as a success and can be spent to trigger a powerful positive consequence.

A despair counts as a failure and can be spent to trigger a powerful negative consequence.
