The next read after February's will be our first themed read! As for me, I'll catch up in Stars soon. I've been reluctant to start it while I was finishing up my in-betweener, but now that's done.

Ugh, sorry for saying I'd find something then not doing it. I thought writing it down would make me do it but apparently not ^^;

@Bothers ahhhhh yeah that makes sense now I think about it. Feeling like you've accomplished a step without actually having done anything productive.
I realise now that do this a lot with my customers and it causes me nothing but stress!*facepalm* well, no time like January for new resolutions, so thanks!!

OK everything is updated for February, including the nomination period for March in the Schedule post.
Note that The Road has no chapters but the sections do end with page breaks, so the sections should be clear once we get into the book. Nominations for March will open on January 24th. It'll be our first themed nomination period. Why don't we take until Wednesday for theme nominations, and I'll roll for one on Thursday. Lemme just say how excited I am to read The Road again!

I don't know how this keeps happening. I think I listened to that three days ago.

Can't believe I had never seen this thread. I have hundred if not thousands of books and a fair portion of them would be great for the RPGX nerding...umm, gaming community.

It appears that I won't be catching up in TSMD after all. I've had a pretty rushed month in every other sense, so I don't want to rush through the book.
Make sure to get your "unrequited love" nominations in before it becomes a rush! The list Lashiec provided has 100 titles on it, so there's no shortage of well-known suggestions should you need them.

Has anyone read anything by Haruki Murakami? I've been skirted around reading 1Q84 for a while now and I see that a book of his, Norwegian Wood, is on that list.

I haven't read murakami yet, but he's on my to-read list. I just haven't got round to him yet.
You should nominate him quick if you don't want to get stuck with a 50/50 chance of ending up with the doozy I've just dropped in there ![]() |

Thanks for reminding me! I forgot that was coming up so soon. However, your play sounds interesting to me.
Edit: You have 33% odds now!

Happy February, and happy new read!
I am so excited to read The Road again! I think it'll be my fourth time through it. Deep thoughts abound! And congrats to @Wishkamon on the selection of their nomination for March, though I suppose we'll all win for it! The title alone has me very intrigued, and it's way outside my usual choice of literature, so I'm looking forward to the change of pace. And thanks for the nominations, everyone. I was Without judgement!worried after last month that our first theme would be a dud, but you came through, even taking chances on books you haven't read for the cause!
